I'm using MFC to host IWebBrowser2 in a child window (as a CWebBrowser2 control). I want the parent window to be informed whenever a WM_MOUSEMOVE message occurs on the child.
I can't figure out how to do this. I'm hoping someone smarter here can help me.
Basically, when hosting IE in a control (and I'm using MFC), how can my parent window be notified if the mouse moves across the control???
Thank you very much for your help!

You can use the DOM events to do that. You can hookup the HTML window or the document objects mouse move event.

Thanks, I figured that out a while back... but your response is much appreciated!

The easiest way i can think of using MFC is to watch for WM_MOUSEMOVE in the parent window's PreTranslateMessage() function. You won't get any information on what HTML element the mouse is over though, so if you need that then do it Rama's way.

I have an application with several dialogs, all have logical Tab-Ordering.
Everything was great up until a month ago when suddenly, the tab order began changing. Some dialogs presented a reverse tab-order and some a very puzzling tab-order.
I've checked my resources with the built-in resource-editor in VC, checked the .rc file, used an external viewer and the order looks like it's suppose to look, but my application decides to twist it.
What could cause this sort of behaviour ?
Where should I look for the causes of this problem ?
Is it possible that the dynamic creation of controls can cause this kind of behaviour ?
How are dynamically created controls treated with tab-ordering (I'm asking although my dynamic-controls do not have the WS_TABSTOP style) ?
thanks

Dear sir,
I have a matter with how to get 1394 device GUID in windwos. I don't know how to access 1393 and get guid? I want to someone can help me? thanks a lot.

Please re-write your question. I am not going to write a 50 page report on how to use 1394 on windows. I think I'd know the correct answer if I knew what question you needed answered.
There is a big different between having something that works on USB that you need to make work with 1394, and a new program you are writing from scratch.

Try searching on OCR or Optical Character Recognition. I'm sure you will find a lot of work on this subject.

One way to implement OCR is using a Feed-Forward Multilayer Perceptron Network that implements the Backpropagation learning algorithm...

It's the connection handle to the data source returned by SQLConnect() .

Hai all,
I want to display the number on the Push button. The button already loaded with bitmap. It starts with 0, whenever mouse click occurs on the client area, the counter starts counting and the next number we are going to used(clicked) on the client area should be display on the button.
so far....
I tried by using DrawItem I don't know the proper way to handle the drawitem.
Note:
1.Number to Display on the Button, that already loaded with Bitmap.
2. I tried to use Drawitem.
With regards

use CBitmapButtons
CBitmapButton bezier;
bezier.LoadBitmaps(_T("IMAGE27UP"), _T("IMAGE27DOWN"), _T("IMAGE27DOWN"), _T("IMAGE27GREY"));
bezier.SubclassDlgItem(IDC_BUTTON_BEZIER, this);
bezier.SizeToContent();
then, if you want to change the image just use
bezier.LoadBitmaps(_T("IMAGE29UP"), _T("IMAGE29DOWN"));

Hi,
Is it possible to obtain beginning & ending addresses of public member functions of C++ object, outside the object? If yes How?
Thanks
Yogesh

If the class has no inheritance or just single inheritance, you can get its starting address:
class A
{
public:
int func() { return 1; }
};
int (A::*ptr_to_method)() = A::func; ptr_to_method now holds the address of the method. But this address won't always be called if the method can be inlined (as the one above) so every call to A::func() might not go through that address in memory.

As I understand, the function addresses obtained using this way are not the real addresses. They just provide an offset of a member function within an object.
#include <conio.h>
class A
{
public:
int func() { return 1; }
};
void main(){
A x;
int (A::*ptr_to_method)() = A::func;
getch();
}
If for the above program you check inside Watch window of VC++ 6.0, the values of following variables
ptr_to_method
(&x)->func
It shows different addresses. Now which one is the correct address of function "func"?
Also I was not able to capture the value of "(&x)->func" inside program.
