If it was an MSI, you could just open the MSI file. Works perfectly using Wise For Windows Installer. If it was the older Setup.exe version of an installer, start recoding...

i need to know how to open word and power point sdocuments directly in the browser?
u see i have some pdf, word and powerpoint documents.they are placed in some location on my hard drive.
i have the paths of all thesein my SQL database.
now these paths appear in a data grid like hyper links its something like this:
doc1.ppt (power point file)
doc2.pdf (adobe file)
doc3.doc. ( word file)
so as soon as i click on a hyperlink, the selected document should open up in the browser directly.
the pdf files open directly the word and power point docs do not open.
Please note that i am developing an ASP.net (with VB.net) application
now how do i do this?

This is probably because you don't have Office installed or you don't have the Word and Excel viewers installed, either will give you the functionality to view documents in a browser. See the Microsoft Office Downloads[^] here.

Wish to create a human-face image on PDA, and now we separate the face into some individually images, like hair, eyes, nose and mouth...
Our goal is to treat all the individually images as particular objects, and could drag them into a main working space (a larger image place), then could save them into a single image files.
1.How to control the object with the code that could move and transform the object feely?
2.How should we design the program to let the user could draw and to alter the images like in painter?
3.Would anybody please tell us where could we inquire about the information about GPRS upload program?

Program Description:
An online retailing company, BuyFromUs.Com, offers a range of products for purchase by people who live in Australia. Orders are placed through the website, and handled by the main office in Adelaide. The products include clothing, household appliances, books, and non-perishable foods.
Information about the products is stored in one file, and information about customers’ orders is stored in a separate file. You have been asked to write a program to perform analysis of the data in the orders information file, so that BuyFromUs.Com’s Board can make informed strategic decisions to improve the profits of the company.
BuyFromUs.Com currently purchases its stock at wholesale price from a variety of suppliers, and sells the products at a higher price, thus deriving their profit from the difference in price. If a particular product is very popular, the board would consider rising the product price for future customers, to increase their profits; whereas products that are not so popular may be dropped from the offerings list.
The outcomes of the program will be various reports. The program must be able to tell the Board (user) the following information upon request:
• The number of people in each Australian state who have ordered a particular product and the total profits made from the sales of that product around Australia. (The user should enter the catalog code of the product).
• For a selected state, a list of the number of people who have ordered each product.
• The details of any customer order. This includes the customer’s name and state, as well as details about the product they have ordered.
• A list of the products that are sold by the company (according to the data files, see below), together with their three-letter catalog code.
You should assume that if a particular customer has ordered multiple products, you are to treat it as though it was a separate customer (i.e. a ‘customer’ only ever orders one item).
Data Files:
There are several data files required to be used by your program.
The products.dat file consists of Product Information records, which includes data in the following format:
• Name of product
• Catalog Code for product (a short 3-letter code, unique for each product)
• Wholesale price of product
• BuyFromUs.Com’s selling price of the product
Products have numeric codes associated with them, starting with product 1 being the first record, product 2 being contained in the second record of the file, and so on. The alphabetic catalog code is provided for humans to more easily refer to a particular product.
The orders.dat file consists of many Customer Order records, which includes data in the following order:
• Name of customer
• State of Australia (one of VIC, NSW, TAS, SA, WA, QLD, ACT, NT)
• The numeric product code of the product ordered by the customer in this order.
As with the products file, the orders in the orders.dat file are associated with order numbers starting with order 1 for the first record in the file.
Both files contain an integer as the first item in the file, stating the number of records that follow in the file. The actual records begin from the second line of the files.

This is because IDList.ToArray() is returning an Array object and not an Object(). You might want to remove the GetType(Int32) and try it. But I think it's still going to fail. The problem your running into is an ArrayList is a general type collection, not an Object(). It can hold any type of data without being cast to a specific type first. You can create an ArrayList without any parameters and just start adding Strings to it and it won't complain. Same is true for Integers...if you just create the ArrayList and start adding numbers to it, chances are that ArrayList is a collection of Integers and not Int32s. This is were your casting problem is coming from. Your trying to do two cast's, an Integer to an Int32, and an Array to an Object(), under the Strict rules.
You either have to use the ArrayList as is, or use an Object() array instead of an ArrayList (consistancy of object types is key!), or get rid of the Option Strict.
Personally, I never use Option Strict...

1. Capture a packet.
2. Modify the data in that TCP or UDP packet.
3. Send the modified packet on its way.

yeah correct i want to do the same thing actually i want to make my encryption algorithm and apply on the data field of the UDP and TCP packets in wireless packets. can you tell me or guide me stepwise what should i do . main thing is that i want to do it in vb.net. lookiing forward to you.

The obvious question is why don't you encrypt the packets at source rather than in transit? (by "in transit" I mean that after the process that is sending the packets has created the packet but before the packet has left the PC) I am assuming that you did not create the process that is sending or receiving the data.
I think what you need to look at is something like an NDIS hook - which is effectively a kernel mode device driver that hooks into the network layer just as the packets are entering/leaving the PC. There is a solution out there that will allow you to create such a hook and pass it into something that isn't a kernel mode process (like VB.NET). However, I don't recall what it is called off the top of my head. (I'll get back to you on that). If you don't want to use that solution then I think you are going to have to create your own kernel mode device driver which most definitely cannot be written in VB.NET.

What your thinking of is an NDIS Intermediate Driver. These things slide in between the miniport and protocol drivers.
For original poster:
Docs on NDIS Intermediate drivers start here[^]. Your best best is to write the NDIS driver in C++. That'll save you time of recoding all of the structures, constants and function headers. You'll be doing this for about 3 dozen functions and structures. On top of that, you'll have a VERY difficult time debugging this thing unless your up to speed on debugging kernel mode drivers...

If you are not generating the packets in the first place then yes - The wording of your previous posts indicates that this is the case. If you are generating the packets there are easier solutions open to you.

It is not something that VB.NET can do by itself, you will need a third party piece of software. NTKernel[^] produce a product called WinPKFilter[^] which might suit your needs.
To connect it to VB.NET you will need to P/Invoke the functions that you are interested in.

Packet capturing is not so simple that someone could explain everything about it here. It's just too big a topic. But there is a couple of articles on it here[^] and here[^] on CodeProject. There are also some packet capture libraries out there like this one[^]. It amazing what you can find with a Google search on "source code packet capture"!
