Problem with Word 2000 automation, error code 0x80080005 Youknowme12-Nov-01 22:54 Youknowme 12-Nov-01 22:54  Hi, anyone here experienced with Word automation? I have a application, in fact a COM component, provide functionalities for extracting Word document data, it was tested well with Word XP, Word 97, but failed with Word 2000 the error is very strange, when I create a Word instance by CoCreateInstance, it's failed and return error: 0x80080005 - Server execution failed I have spent whole day to fix the bug, search entire MSDN, but the result is nothing, although have some articles cover this bug, but neither of them have final approach (and feasibility) to work-around. (in Visual Basic, the error is error 409: ActiveX component cannot create object). However if I do the same with the tree control, it only gets called when you double right-click, does anyone know why this is and how to make it respond to single right-clicks? If it is a third party driver and not one of your own, using their installer is a lot easier. Have you looked at AddPrinterDriver and AddPrinterDriverEx? Does the GUI have any controls on it such as edit controls. Look at WM_KEYDOWN for catching the Enter key.
