I'm looking for a double array that have the GetAt(), SetAt(), etc... functionality. Thanks anyway for the sample code that you've given.

arr.SetAt(1, 2.3);
double y = arr.GetAt(0);

Tried the code but got the following errors:
error C2065: 'CArray' : undeclared identifier
error C2065: 'arr' : undeclared identifier
error C2228: left of '.SetAt' must have class/struct/union type
error C2228: left of '.GetAt' must have class/struct/union type
do we need an include directive to use CArray?
Thanks.

Is there any way to implement multilingual support without the use of Unicode ?
will the idea of resource only dll in different language would work ?
Can any one give me a brife idea bout it.
Problem is MFC with Unicode support under Win98 breaks.... how to acomplish multilingual support without Unicode so that my software would work under win98 and also win2k without any change in the code (for lang support only)
Thanx in advance.

Hi,
you will need Unicows.dll for Unicode to work correctly on
Windows 98.This is a patch for Unicode support on Win98.
Search msdn for further info on Unicows.dll.
Idea of resource-only dll is perfect for multilingual applications.

It got voted down because it's self-promotion - spam by the informal rules of this site. But there are some good links there, and as you say, any information that might be helpful is (or should be) welcome here. I awarded it a fiver just to raise the overall level a bit to toward the 3 level it deserves. The links to online books alone deserve better than a 1, even if some or all of them may be pirated (it's hard to imagine MSPress ever offering anything free).

If you want to distance yourself from it, why do you link to it ?
Also, as your site is begging for donations, it's totally inappropriate that you link to it from anywhere except the advertising section on the left ( which ironically has SAMS Publishing right now, the people who publish books that it seems you give away for free ).

Because 'free books' usually means someone has started a site with the PDFs that publishers often put on CD's that come with books. It's theft. Ask Nish how he feels about people not buying the book he wrote with Tom Archer. Ask Tom how he feels about trying to feed his family while people steal his work.

humm, I never knew that ebooks comes in CDs too, i never got that, I only get the source code of the examples in the book.
Anyways if you had searched a little bit somewhere in the .NET section you would find a book written by Tom Archer.

Thankfully, the link this scumbag provides to the current edition of Tom's book is broken. What a dirtbag this guy is. I knew that Tom wrote that book, I own it. So should anyone who wants to read it, it's well worth the money.
I'm not sure I get your position - is it that it's OK to steal ?

no not at all, its not at all ok to steal... I thought the ebooks are released by the author himself.
I found one eBook which says that his is meant to given away for free, all chapters were included, because the author wanted the book to be read first and if readedr likes it he can buy it, ofcource if you buy it you will get the samples source code but not in eBook.
This is because to avoid the money spend on ads to promote his book.
I dont have any eBooks i usally rely on MSDN, and to be honest i did download few eBooks from that site which is of no use to be though, most of the book that i need is in my company library.

I think you should read legal notice at the end of the page.
I don't think that any publisher will lose money because of this.
Have you ever read a book from your computer screen . It is not that good experience . You can't read continuously more than half an hour.
If the person like the book he will definately buy the book
because in codst of buying bookis much less that taking print out (at least in my country)
And those millions of person how can't affort to buy these will never buy these.
Don't you think information should be for all .
i just belive in the fact that education is for all . every one should study and grow up in life.
people who will use these books for free if they got to some position in life they will definately pay the price for the boook .

Its argumentive.... Some publisher will say that because of eBook ppl bought the book so they got the profits without actually advertising it.
while some say they are losing money for every copy of eBook is made.

I also belive that knowledge is not given its taken... as long as you are gaining knowlege its not a porblem and no is going to stop you from doing that. But some ppl will always cry for losing money or u gaining more knowlege than ur senior and going ahead in life.
