I didn't take too much time going through your code, but it looks like you would break HTML that was already formatted. Like if your parser came across "*lt;" (already formatted) it would change it to "*amp;lt;" which would display as "*lt;" instead of "<" :

*lt; = <
*amp;lt = &lt;

Hi,

I add a Rebar to a SDI (Step 4 of the AppWizard.
in the Resource tab, I add a ComboBox (IDC_cb), when I laungh ClassWizard, it ask me what Class to add, I choose the CMainFrame.
I add a variable (CComboBoxCtrl), then OK.
BUT the variable appears nowhere !?!? Frown | :(

omg:

so I laungh ClassWizard again and he ask me the same ??? Confused | :confused:

How can I attach a variable to the ComboBox, and how can I fill it (AddString()) ?

What happens to the socket connection when you pause a download thread?

What features should you have in your download thread so you can pause & resume the download? Should you just kill the download during pause and restart it when you resume?

There are sevearal solutions. Client socket status depends on the server. Some server may disconnect it. Others keep the connection alive.

Problem with notepad and Edit box

Hi ,
i have a Editbox the contents of which are save to a notepad file.The Edit box is a multiline one and on initialization displays a two line message.I use
str.Format("DATE:\r\n TIME:\r\n");
when I open the notepad file I find the \r being replaced by a new character (somthing like a rectangle).
how to avoid this.
is there any other way to print a multiline message in a edit box without using \r\n?

I assume you meant text file, as "notepad file" is meaningless. Are you using a CStdioFile object?

As long as the edit control has the ES_MULTILINE style, this will work.

No.

When writing to text files, take into account that the newline character (0x0A) is translated to a byte pair (0x0D, 0x0A), and when reading from text files, the byte pair (0x0A, 0x0D) is translated to a single 0x0A byte.

Ola!

I'd like to write an app that logs all requested url's,
but I don't have a clue where to start.
(Microsoft has quite a lot of SDK's / API's, haven't been able to sort out what I need).

Preferrably I'd like to catch something like the http-header including the referrer. (** see edit-note below)

Anyone got any clue / hints in the right direction ?

Edit:
Thinking about it,
it would be even nicer to log *all* requests, not only http.
Ftp, rtsp etc would be sweet too !

Hi everyone,

I spend the whole night trying to make this work, but no luck! Maybe someone can help me out. I am literally pulling hairs out of my head.

I have the following SQL Stored procedure.

CREATE PROCEDURE UpdateTestVorgaenge
@TestName nVARCHAR(250),
@OutID int OUTPUT

AS
INSERT INTO Temp_TestVorgaenge_t (Name, Datum) values(@TestName, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)
Select @OutID= @@IDENTITY

Now, I have a CRecordSet derived class and I want to use that to call this stored procedure.

here is what I do:

void DoFieldExchange(CFieldExchange* pFX)
{

pFX->SetFieldType(CFieldExchange::param);
RFX_Text(pFX, _T("TestName"), m_name);
pFX->SetFieldType(CFieldExchange::inoutParam);
RFX_Int(pFX, _T("OutID"), m_testVID);
}

And my Open statement looks like this...
CRecordset::Open(dynaset, _T("{CALL UpdateTestVorgaenge(?,?)}"), CRecordset::none);

But it throws an exception saying "Function Sequence error". Anyone has any ideas on how to make this work???

Just guessing, but the second parameter is defined as an OUTPUT parameter, but in your c++ code, your setting the parameter as an 'inoutParam'.

I have tried all sorts of combinations, but with no luck!...inout, outpurParam...
I think there must be something fundamentally wrong here. maybe it is not possible for record sets to return values...

I assume the stored procedure works if called through query analyzer?

Have you stepped into the Open function and found out which method is throwing the exception.

Is there any reason you are not using ADO. I find it much easier for calling stored procedures.

Hi,

Do not worry about it anymore. I am just going to use ExecuteSQL from CDatabase. Something really funky is happening with CRecordset. I think it is a problem when you use a stored procedure that does not return any records (like Insert or something). I am going to tackle this on a more relaxed day Big Grin | :-D

I find that when I drag the thumbtrack to the extereme left, I step into the SB_THUMBPOSITION: case, not SB_LEFT. So what action do i have to take to make the SB_LEFT triggger?
After that I hope to figure out what makes SB_PAGELEFT trigger.

Hi I create in my application an memory device context and draw grid into one.In next step i copy (and simulatenly decrease dimention) this context on another device context(display) use StretchBlt function,before it i set HALFTONE in SetStretchBltMode.And all was fine.But when i try to do it in Win98 my grid draw badly(if i set thickness of line which i draw my grid, not enought big my grid dissappear completle).I think what SetStretchBltMode function was fail.

Anybody suggest me decision of this trouble.

Are only some of your grid lines disappearing? if so:

StretchBlt works by removing columns and rows of pixels. It may be that some of the rows that StretchBlt removes are the rows (or columns) that contain your grid lines.

You could verify this by changing the destination DC dimensions in your StretchBlt call and see if different rows/columns end up disappearing.

Have you answered an MTQ? Check out the stats!

Hallo all ,i am preparing for graduated project and this project is to take the voice from a mic and encrypt it then save it to a .wav file and then play it after decrypte the .wav file what i finished from the project takeing the voice and save it to a .wav file and play it agine and what i want now to encrypte the incoming voice and decrypte it , i have a document that describe the A5/3 algorith and more detials including a code but i can not understand it ,Please any one help me and if any one want the documents i will send it quicly.
