I believe it just a figure of speech. It acutally means navigation.

What flipping does mean?
It is what Antipodeans have to do when they enter the northern hemisphere.
Actually I think Chris just means navigating/using the desktop.

It means sticking out your hand, putting down all fingers except the mid -- oh wait, I think in this context, all it means is chanigng windows/navigating.

Hi,
Flipping means "turning of a graphic object from left to right or from top to bottom."

I thought it meant changing from one window app to another (ie Alt-Tab).
That's why I chose keyboard only.

Using the mouse slows you down, that's true.
Mostly I need a few hours to get a new shortcut into my fingers, before I use it without thinking.
But there is one kind of keyboard shortcut, that is nearly useless - the shortcuts with keys fon the right side of the keyboard. the left hand is my shortcut-hand, and the right hand is my mouse-hand. A ergonomic shortcut should be reachable with one hand

I need both hands on the keys - and I'm typically shortcutting with both, using the opposit Ctrl-Key.
So the worst thing for me is switching between mouse and keyboard. I don't even mind Mouse-only apps (not much, at least) - but half-keyboard-apps that get you stuck in a dead end you can only escape with the mouse make me (really) scream.

Same here. But I use the mouse to flip windows if I happen to be using it at the moment, and the keyboard the rest of the time (which is most of the time).
