Are you looking for LogonUser() ?

You cannot use LogonUser to log on to a remote computer.
NetUseAdd? But I don't know how to use this function exactly.

It helps to specifiy all of the requirements when seeking help!
Anyway, I could not get NetUseAdd() to work.
USE_INFO_1 ui = {0};
ui.ui1_local = NULL;
ui.ui1_remote = L"\\\\pbssvr\\ddrive";
ui.ui1_password = L"password";
NET_API_STATUS nStatus = NetUseAdd(NULL, 1, (LPBYTE) &ui, NULL); I kept getting an access violation. I did get WNetAddConnection2() to work, however.
NETRESOURCE nr = {0};
nr.dwType = RESOURCETYPE_ANY;
nr.lpLocalName = NULL;
nr.lpRemoteName = L"\\\\pbssvr\\ddrive";
nr.lpProvider = NULL;
DWORD dwStatus = WNetAddConnection2(&nr, L"password", L"userid", 0);

Hi,
I am having a EditBox in my dialog box and I want to print out (in a AfxMessageBox for example)the value I typed in it.
I did the following but it didnt work (obviously!!)
I inserted a Edit box and in the Add member variable dialog box i gave it name and chose "control" under category and in the variable type it was CEdit.
I am not quite sure about the functions I have to use but I tried using GetSel() and such functions but they didnt work out..
Can anyone help me in it..any sample code would be great!!!
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
Try something like:
<br />
CString Buffer;<br />
<br />
if(m_myLisBox.GetSel() != LB_ERR ){<br />
m_myListBox.GetText(m_myListBox.GetSel(), Buffer);<br />
AfxMessageBox(Buffer);<br />
}<br />
Good luck with you first steps with VC++ , HTH

Hi!
Is there a way to use my managed c# datalayer from an old unmanaged VC++ class?

You should be able to however you may have to create a bridge DLL written in managed C++.
You would create a managed C++ DLL which exports some unmanaged functions or classes. These functions or classes would then be responsible for creating managed classes and marshalling data back and forth between the unmanaged legacy code and the new managed code.
Sorry this isn't too detailed a description but it may give you some direction.

I'm wondering if their is anyway to put a table into a dialog box. They have list boxes and combo boxes, but no table boxes. Do you need to use a List Control? If so is there any documentation on the web to show me how to do this?
Thanks for any help.

Yes, a list control in report mode is probably what you are after. Anything more, and you'll need a more specialized grid control. Check CP for those.

Add a list control using resource editor.

If I define _WIN32_WINNT in VC6 so that the compiler supports Win2K using the SDK headers will I have any problems with MFC, ATL or WTL? I know there is an article on this site here[^]that talks about a problem with MFC and CFileDialog but it is 3 years old and I am not sure that it is accurate.

Thank You. I was worried that this may cause more problems then it is worth but I would like to use some of the win2k functionality in my .dlls (> 500K lines)...

my SDI doesn't have database support but I wish to add it in, how to go about creating CRecordset(the coding part) and how will i link it to my MS Access database?
|
|
|
|
|
You will need to include mfc database support (afxdb.h). The ClassWizard does a fairly good job of getting you started with skeleton odbc classes (ClassWizard - AddClass - New...use CRecordSet as the base class)You may also want to check out the VC++ help file under ODBC for basic information

Hi
I want to make sure the user can only browse and only click a file named 'myprogram.exe' in the CFile Dialog (open)
Didn't find any flags restricting this.
Any ideas?
Best regards

This severly defeats the purpose of using CFileDialog , does it not? If you're only allowing the selection of one file, why bother asking for it? Have you considered using SHBrowseForFolder() instead? With whatever folder is selected, tack 'myprogram.exe' on to the end.

In an MDI application when more than one MDI child frames
are open and one of these child frames is maximized when
we toggle to other frames, they are maximized too
regardless of their previous size.
I checked the UINT nType passed to OnSize message handler
in MDI's view class but its value is always 0
(SIZE_RESTORED).
How can I preserve an MDI frame's previous size including
maximize, minimize or restore status after toggling to
this frame from another maximized MDI frame?
Thanks in advance

I have one dll file without any information about that file. I want to know all functions in that dll file. How can I do to list all functions?
|
|
|
|

dumpbin /export your.dll
lists all exports by that dll.
dumpbin is included in VC++ compiler packages.
