Which new outlook? The thick client, or the web based version. I'm not a fan of either, but think the web based one is better for most things. Better still it's the same (mostly) for whatever OS you run.
Honestly though, I miss PC-Pine (now Alpine I think). . . but I'm weird that way.

Your post got me thinking...
I have a BAT file which runs at login. I forget which registry key I used, but probably:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\AutoRun
And I have it calling:
CMD.EXE /C CALL "path\outlook.lnk"
So now Outlook starts when I log in each morning. 
Edit: Corrected the registry key.

I just now completed viewing Dune II. It occurred to me two solutions exist which would solve the problem the Fremen have id est the domination of their home world. Neither involves the shedding of blood or war. It is merely a chemistry problem.

Go read the novels by Frank Herbert. Dune was just the first of several novels that deal with the political and economic issues of that empire.

Thanks for the suggestion however re/ stories I am doing things the cheap and easy way. However I am glad long ago I read the many thousands of pages of the David Wingrove Chung Kuo series. However re/ the series is it not all based on spice.

Libraries are cheap. And easy, if there's one you can access without difficulty. Most libraries will even let you check to see if the book you're interested in is in their collection, if there's a copy available, and allow you to place a hold online. You might even be able to swing an inter-library loan, or persuade the library to add that book to the collection. With the recent Dune movies, there's probably quite a bit of interest in the series, so your local library may be re-stocking them.

My error. I meant to say "cheap and dirty" assuming its meaning to the software community is "quick and easy" as I do not have patience for the temporal debt of a lengthy series.
