so sounds like for this specific device, driver captures output somehow, transmits to usb, and usb device has converter to hdmi signal. the USb / HDMI devices iv used tend to have a chunky block in them to mean have some kind of processor in them along with with the connectors.
so what doing work, cpu, to capture output, but gpu might still be doing number crunching

I don't flinch when watching horror/slasher movies, but this just creeps me out to the max. I'm still shuddering just at the thought of being underground like that, crawling through spaces barely body width.
I think I'm going to have nightmares for weeks. If I can't drive a car through it, then I'm not going near it.

I remember exploring a cave on the hill above our town many years ago. My friend and I (aged about 13) walked in with a torch and a candle. after about half an hour we reached a large hole filled with water, which was passable by walking across a wooden plank. I started across but the plank felt a little unstable so we called it a day and worked our way back out.
At the age of 55, my wife and I went to the Kango caves in South Africa. There was a guided tour through the caves which we joined. It included climbing, sliding and crawling. It was only when we came out at the end that we realised we were about 20 years older than all the other participants.

I've been in public caves such as Carlsbad Caverns, but I have no desire to go spelunking. As for potholing, I try to avoid them as they're heck on wheels and suspensions.

I've been exploring, surveying and mapping caves in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Kentucky since I was 10 years old. I love the quiet, the beauty, and the thrill of being somewhere no one, or very few, have gone before. Hence my username and avatar. 
Having said that, I don't care for tight squeezes either. When I'm already crawling on my belly and I start to feel the ceiling on my back and I've got more than a few feet to crawl that way, that's where I stop.

I love caves, but only when I can stand (or at least "comfortably" crawl) in them 
Seen some really beautiful sights like that
I read about a guy who got stuck halfway through some cave and upside down and not even the rescue workers could reach him.
From that moment on it was waiting for a slow and agonizing death (about 24 hours of (knowing you're) dying basically).
Sounds like one of the worst ways to go

I just read an account of John's death in Utah's Nutty Putty cave. True horror story.

I believe you're talking about the Nutty Putty cave incident. They shut down and sealed the cave after his passing, and left his body, because it was too dangerous to retrieve.
There's a movie based on the accident, The Last Decent.

Yes, a cave in Utah, I believe. His body is still there, the area sealed off, from what I understand.
And that is enough cautionary tale for me to stop before I attempt most tight and twisty passages like that. I don't want my eulogy to include the words "he died doing a hobby he loved."

Surprisingly enough, getting stuck is not the leading cause of death among spelunkers. Falls, rocks (falling), drowning, and hypothermia are the most likely causes, according to this article:

OTOH, there's no way I'm crawling through some hole I barely fit through. I've toured a few commercial caves in NY and VA (USA), and that was fun. But squeezing through a tiny hole? Nope!

My first thought was "drowning?" but was immediately followed by "I'm not surprised".
Almost lost one of my friends when he difficultly fighting against the current trying to get out of an underwater cave.

Are you sure that's what you meant to write?
Nobody should be at all surprised that China based TikTok has a keylogger. Hell, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Twitter, WhatsApp, iMessage, Chrome, Edge and Safari all had keyloggers. Privacy and the internet do not go together.

Has nothing to do with China.
I get mails from my hospital to my gmail, with a sig that yammers about being the intended recipient and about privacy. Multiple companies do. None ever answered my legal questions on the validity of that signature for a mail-account where you sign and agree to share your data.
The sig is worth nothing.
