I'll do what I do every year, pick a game and pretend I'm 15 again 
Sleeping in until somewhere at noon and then play my game until somewhere late at night (which is more like my natural rhythm than my usual sleep schedule).
Last year I've played Ni Nu Kuni non-stop, NieR: Automata before that and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age before that.
This year it's going to be Trials of Mana!

Same. Even with an SO (no kids though).
Trials was good, although a bit repetitive going for the plat. I think Dragon Quest 11 has been one of my favourite JRPGs of recent times, worth checking out if you haven't played it yet - you will need more than one Christmas break though!
On the subject of games, want to give a shout-out to an Indie I played recently... "My Big Sister". It's a retro style story/adventure game (without combat) and will only last about 3 hours. It's very cheap though so you don't feel ripped off.

I was thinking holy for me personally, I'm not actually a Christian and couldn't care less about any children being born 
Thing is, I've called it Christmas all my life (or "kerstmis", actually) and even though it has the name "Christ" in it (in English) I don't associate it with any religion.
It's just a good two weeks at the end of the year where I eat, drink, spend time with family, and play games

Your last sentence is actually the point - and for those who celebrate this religiously, one they should take in account.
Why can't people say what they want and accept it in the spirit intended? "Happy . . .", "Merry . . .", whatever? Those who make the biggest deal of it are, or so it seems, those who have strayed furthest from perceived goals; converted what should be a time of comraderee into one with political and social landmines. From "fa-la-la" to fanatic, perhaps?
Unable to see the forest because of all those trees in the way, bedecked or otherwise.

I've been at work since 6th November, and onsite 24hours from 21st November until probably 3rd week in January!
