SQL was supposed to do that as well. A human understandable language to interrogate a database.
Then they had to add functionality to make it useful, and here we are.

I was at a Microsoft conference in Ft Lauderdale, maybe 25 years ago... Someone attending the MS Access session reported that the speaker said Programming will be obsolete.

One would think that security programming would be the most important given the paranoia about government agencies and criminals, domestic and foreign, keen to spy on all our communication traffic.
I remember decades ago a children's puppet "the Hood" from the Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds TV series, sold in toy shops; it had a build in speech chip with stock phrases, my favourite was "I will steal all their secrets". Just as relevant today!

I'm surprised at all the votes for security. Not that it isn't important, but surely it's not a concern that needs to infest every piece of code. If it does, something's wrong with the overall design. Not to mention that most security breaches are caused by users or administrators doing risky things.

Is containers (Docker and Kubernetes), Cloud (Azure, AWS and lately GC) and DevOps.
AI and security are more high profile because they're in the news a lot, but somehow less in demand (or I'm looking at the wrong ads because I'm not really in that business).
What's funny is that Blockchain, the hype of three years ago, is completely out of the picture.
So that's what they're asking, whether it's important or if it'll die like Blockchain remains to be seen
