Rather than get the Staff involved, and revoking their moderation privileges or assuming malicious intent, let's try a little education...

Gentlemen: it's been noticed that you are moderating articles - which is fine, not a problem - but that you are pressing "approve" on pretty much everything you see. In fact, I don't recall seeing you vote in any other way.
Now, that's a problem because some of the material you are approving is clearly not ready for publication. For example, the 6 blogs in moderation at the moment are all chock-full of HTML and fluorescent yellow backgrounds, which need to be fixed before blinding some poor unsuspecting reader. There is a report for that: "Needs help: Format / layout issues" and if you look at the other reports on those articles that is what everyone else is using. What happens then is that the article is not published, the author is told there is a problem, and the staff - who are good at this - can help them to get it readable, improving the experience for everybody.

I also seem to recall a few obvious spam articles that you gentlemen have been marking as "fine, no problem, let it through: approve" and that's a bigger problem.

The job of moderation - and it is indeed a job - is to exercise diligence and ensure that the article is accurate, useful, well formatted, not spam, correctly assigned, correctly tagged, and not plagiarised. In the case of spam and plagiarism, that needs reporting in this forum as well as the article and author getting a kick.
But you aren't doing that - you appear to be just letting anything through, and that's bad.
It's bad because it potentially opens a door for spam and plagiarised material, and also it lowers the apparent value of all other articles when substandard material gets through, or an obvious Tip gets published as a full article.

So please, either change the way you moderate to fit in with what every other moderator is doing, or stop moderating.
Because if you continue, we will have to assume that you are just doing it for reputation points (I think you get some for each moderate vote) and we will have to consider that as rep point hunting (classed as a form of abuse) and take stern measures. We don't want to do that; we never want to remove privileges from users, or kick them off the site. But we also need to see respect for the quality of the site being maintained not "I'll approve anything" votes.
