The last place I worked, when I first got there, us developers were in our own space. That was kind of nice, somebody would turn on a streaming service at a nice volume for some background. So I guess I don't mind music. If anyone has that kind of setup, I encourage you to make it democratic: let each person take a turn on picking the genre/channel/whatever. Who knows, you might get introduced to something you like but would never have heard of otherwise.
