Thumbs Up | It has a nice groove and the band is tight. Smile | :)

As for the quote, I don't think rock and metal have anything to worry about. There will always be listeners with an appreciation for the heavier stuff. I grew up during the British invasion of the early 80's. Priest and Maiden fueled my teenage rebellion, blaring at full volume in a pretty decent car stereo system, usually accompanied by a friend or two and some booze!...just like Wayne's World, but heavier!

Anyhow, it's Friday afternoon and I've got time to kill...There's no shortage of really good new music out there today. In the past year I've seen Dream Theater and Steven Wilson. I'm currently stuck on Wilson's 'Grace for Drowning' which is one of the most dynamic works I've heard in a while...like taking an audible beating one minute, then being suddenly calmed and sedated the next...then come the low notes, spooky yet ethereal. OMG | :OMG: This band absolutely rocks. I've been going backward through their discography and keep finding gems. Another noteworthy album is 'The Raven That Refused to Sing'.

Other bands that should be mentioned are 'The Neal Morse Band' and 'Flying Colors' both featuring Mr. Portnoy and both having some really good stuff out there. Being a fan of the Dregs, I was really pleased to see Dave LaRue and Steve Morse (a couple of older guys) still putting out quality music. Cool |
