Two years ago the management - out of the blue - decided to write the new version of our portals in Angular...
It is just a messy tool - probably good for a quick-and-dirty, few page long site, but has nothing to do with large scale (enterprise) development...
We have to bend it over and over, and glue together when brakes...

Amusing!  I'll stick with good old asp.net webforms thank you! It may not be 'cool' but I'm used to it (can be productive) and it's easy to debug and deploy/update.

My take, too. Unfortunately, as I start my job search (position eliminated due to my lack of experience with open source and Angular that my employer has decided to transition to) almost every .NET job in town requires experience with AngularJS. Oy.
If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

Well, I can't really comment on Angular as I've never used it (Javascript itself was my reason for running a mile from web development) but I find some of the comments rather depressing.
Basically, a guy writes a highly amusing rant only to be met with replies along the lines of "I don't do humour. Angular is ace. You must die for your sins." It's kind of everything that's wrong with the bottom half of the internet.

I expected as much after spending an entire afternoon trying to write a simple app in Angular and not getting it done.
I then tried Vue.js and I was up and running in an hour.

There is definitely a lot of 'plumbing' required just to get a simple page up and running and retrieving data from a web api. It would have been nicer if it were a bit simpler. But overall I still like using it and would rather use it than Asp.Net MVC.

Ah... I did look at that word, but I couldn't work out how to get it so I didn't want to just post a guess, couldn't even get close to a solution for it.
And for some reason I was only playing around the the chemical symbols, rather than the full names. Amateur mistake!

Who (apart from Griff) actually claimed that this was solvable?
Anyway, everyday being a school-day and all that, I have at least learned that there is one more noble gas than there was when I was a kid. Oganesson (formerly ununoctium) has apparently swollen the ranks of Group 18 even though it doesn't actually exist. They're a funny old crowd, them chemistry types ...

Well ... @DRHuff did. And I suspect that @musefan would have, if he hadn't got hung up on chemical; symbols. 
The trouble is that to make a theme non-trivial you pretty much have ramp up the rest of it. So I did. Maybe too far ... I'll make tomorrow's harder then.

Are you not at all tempted to try and code that function so you can tell us the results? ...oh go on! I am tempted myself but having to get a dictionary or anagram API sounds like too much effort
