Getting Started with PouchDB - Part 1[^] this guy has been warned about using links and still is writing publicity about his blog in the articles (see the last sentence in the summary). It is not and has been not been a blog, all versions were articles.

Angular 7 with .NET Core 2.2 - Global Weather (Part 1)[^] this one is using Marc Clifton's work (I would say without permission, as it looks in his message[^])

I didn't want to report them just like that in the S&A forum because I am not sure if reporting them while in the list of best candidates can have a side effect.

@Sean-Ewington would you mind to have a look and if proceed do the needful? Thanks

I've messaged Paul a few times about the links. We don't have a dialogue yet, but as long as he doesn't put links to his articles back in after I take them out, I'm fine with him.

I would say, if he doesn't react, maybe a short deactivation or something similar? Other users would have been nuked sooner with such behavior.

Yeah, the note is automatically added based on the "Author Resources" section. An Editor will have to change the section.

IMHO it would actually make more sense, if the self selected section "Author Resources" would just rise a flag, that someone with correct rights had to confirm that it actually is something that belongs to the section and hence deserves the editorial note or not.

The amount of "false positives" is bigger than the number of real "Author resources"

Thank you to all CodeProject staff - you're doing a great job. Final wish - could we fix the fat gif i have in my article? It's the only gif in the article and present demo in final form. I guess you are using some tool for resizing the images and this tool just took the first frame of the gif, resize it and place it there.

Please, let me know if I should upload a smaller gif or we can go with the main one and just set width=600px for it?

It varies: but it;'s generally hours rather than days. But all the moderation is done by volunteers (and the criteria to become an article moderator includes authoring articles, so we understand both how difficult it can be, and how frustrating it can be to have it sit there doing nothing) and it will depend on which moderators are available and have time to read it.

For most articles, a good degree of familiarity with the subject matter is obviously needed - and that can mean that it waits until sufficient skilled moderators can read it properly.

That can take time: not normally too long, there are quite a few of us! Have a little patience, your article in the moderation queue is quite long and takes a little reading. And moderation is more than a quick scan and hit approve; moreover it takes a number of moderators to agree that the article is (or isn't) suitable for publication: that it is accurate, informed, useful, not plagiarised, and not spam - and to point out problems that need fixing if any are found.

We moderators aren't here to make your life difficult, or to be nasty - quite the reverse, we protect the site from not-ready articles, and authors from the derision and downvotes that poorer articles can receive. And to be a moderator, you have to write articles, so we know what it feels like when you slave away on something and Joe Moron from Stupidity High School, Kansas finds out it's not what he needs to hand in as his homework ... Laugh | :laugh:

Don't worry, it's OK, I agree with you 100%. I just wanted to have a rough idea, I have been making this article for few day, step by step, so for me it's not a problem to wait day or two, just wanted to see how the process go.
