Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

The Nazi symbol went clockwise, not counterclockwise, but the Swastika generally has long history before it was co-opted by Mr Schicklgruber:
The name swastika comes from Sanskrit (Devanagari:. स्वस्तिक) meaning "conducive to well being or auspicious".[7][8] In Hinduism, the clockwise symbol is called swastika, symbolizing surya (sun), prosperity and good luck, while the counterclockwise symbol is called sauvastika, symbolizing night or tantric aspects of Kali.[8] In Jainism, a swastika is the symbol for Suparshvanatha—the seventh of 24 Tirthankaras (spiritual teachers and saviours), while in Buddhism it symbolizes the auspicious footprints of the Buddha.
IIRC the oldest known use of it was 15,000 years ago - so after 70+ years it might be time to start letting the "far right" connotations of the symbol go a little, don't you think?

Will remain forbidden in the Netherlands; there's still people alive that saw men with that symbol on their arms going through the streets.
Also not an argument that it was associated with something else some thousands of years ago - it is about what it is associated with today. If you see someone in a mall swinging a knife, you're not going to suggest that he may simply be hunting like 15k years ago

Not suggesting we should forget what they did, not in the least!
But perhaps it's time to start reclaiming an ancient symbol that they hijacked? Otherwise they win to a small extent, and the symbol remains something for the ultra right to rally round. Admittedly, that makes them easier to spot, but ...

There's no room here for anyone who wants to use that symbol, regardless of the reasons they bring to the table

To see a swastika I have to unfocus my eyes and think of swastikas... otherwise the first thing I see is a cross similar to the pharmacy ones, the usual icon for "Heal" abilities in games.

I don't abuse ms about their pathetic fixation with icons.
Clearly and concisely speaking truthfully -- e.g. that I think they're bleeding morons -- is not abuse; it's fair comment.

1. Looks nothing like a swastika.
2. A poor design choice because there is no visual clue to the meaning. If you have to read the manual to know what an icon means then there is something wrong.

More specifically I need to send the WM_SHUTDOWN message to a single window in order to simulate the windows shutdown (the windows procedure is not mine and I don't have the sourcecode, it's a runtime that executes project files which are controllable via socket from other applications).
I would have used WinWatch of the memorable HardCoreVB suite but on Win7 64 bit it isn't an option. Does anybody know a tool to view all the top level windows and send individually messages to them? Programming solutions are ok but a "known functional" tool would be priceless.

Thanks to NirSoft I don't have that problem.
