I don't own a Shelby, but am a Shelby enthusiast. My car requires an almost disturbing amount of testosterone to drive.

I am trying to find a link to your car. I could swear you linked to a youtube car video a while back, plus you had a website at one time with pics of your car? Not sure on that one.

Nice, that's the one.
Now, you said you do not own a Shelby but your hood says Shelby.

I bought the car new in 2012 as a V6. Everybody was happy.
I put the hood, body kit, "Power by Ford" emblem and blue stripes on it. I immediately started getting hate because everyone thought I was trying to represent it as an actual Shelby. One guy was especially upset because of the hood. He had a 2008 GT500-KR, and the hood I selected closely resembles a KR hood.
I figured that if I was already pissing people off without make an overt attempt to do so, I would make an overt attempt to do so, so I added the "SHELBY" emblem on the hood and trunk lid. That was the only SHELBY-oriented thing I did to the car - no other emblems, the text "GT500", or anything. That was 2013.
In 2014 I did the engine swap. People still hated on it because of the emblems, even though the car made more power as the GT500's, and was honestly closer to the post-title cars produced in the mid-60's. It was the most faithful "tribute" car anyone has ever done.
In 2016, I added the blower, and because I had to change the hood, the SHELBY emblems cam off - not because of the hate, but because the car was no longer a Shelby tribute (no Shelby has ever had a blower sticking out of the hood).
The car needs a paint job, and I'm thinking I want to put hot-rod flames on it.

Because real men don't drive that car, so mocking would be a waste of time.

Paint it black, with a red lightning flash down either side, and...
Nope. I still wouldn't want it. Nor the woolly abomination I'd have to wear, if driving it.
Maybe in British racing green, with the matt-black number spots painted on. Any car painted that way gets street cred, even if it's never been raced.

I agree that the Skoda Fabia is not a sportscar, although even the standard engine (Volkswagen) is far from sluggish with it's turbo.
I bought it because it is a reliable and affordable car that gets me from A to B without problems, I own it now for about 8 years and never had any real problems (except a blown fuse for the ventilator which was replaced for free)

I remember when Skoda first came out in the UK.
It was subjected to such a massive, vicious, and venomous misinformation campaign (I don't like to give bad things cool names) attack by other car companies that I decided to never again buy anything made by ford or BL (whatever they're calling themselves, these days).

You have beavers in Holland?

Right, re-introduced in the early 90s.
Some interesting reporting, thus from 1999: Beavers a threat to Dykes: ...reintroduced [in Biesbosch] between 1988 and 1991The introduced animals suffered high mortality and the population grew very slowly. The total population size in 1997 was 65 animals and it is increasing at a very slow rate.[^]
Yet 12 years later, the BBC reports: The beaver-breeding programme began in 1988, and since then the beaver population has grown exponentially[^]
The BBC, they just lie all the time about the environment.
"Triumphant mating habits combined with the beavers' ability to breed so successfully in the Dutch countryside "
What the f*** is a 'triumphant mating habit'? DOes it involve trumpets and fanfares I wonder?
And what is so special about the Dutch countryside when it comes to getting beavers to f***? Dykes can't be a turn on surely!
" they have been moving beyond the southern province of Limburg and entering towns and cities that may not be prepared for the influx."
Where there arent any Dykes, and Limburg is a long way from Biesbosch anywy, but the suggestion here is the Limburg is basically all countryside, and everything south is town and city. South of Limburg is the Ardennes for f***s sake, about as un city like as you can get.
WHat a fantastically incorrect and fumblingly inaccurate pile fo crap reporting that is!
Anyway, beavers make good hats apparently, shame they are out of fashion.
