That is and has always been my standard answer to people telling me with big eyes "You don't do sports ? This is not healthy !". I am very well ready to live less but good, so with grease, alcohol, naps than living longer but having to spend the extra time "doing sports".

Sports are done for the fun of it. Health is just a byproduct.
Everyone is born right handed. Only the strongest overcome it.

Sport ist Mord, Truppensport ist Massenmord.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Hi All,
Following on from the thread a couple of days ago about members who were no longer as prolific as they were (Nagy, Death By Chocolate, Luc and on) another of the missing is Dave Auld, was moving from UAE to Cypress I think. Haven't seen much of him as of late...

I am here!
I do pop in now and again, particularly if an article peaked my interest from the emails.
I am still working in Qatar, but have moved residential to Cyprus and rotate every 4 weeks.

I knew him only as Mr Bean, and loved him... However his Maigret was even better...

You've never seen Blackadder?
He also did some reasonable stand-up[^].

I didn't saw those... And all those are comedians' work, but Maigret is anything but comedy...

Yes, I was surprised he was able to pull off a straight role. I kept expecting him to say "Wibble"[^].

Indeed - Both IMDB and Wikipedia has him as alive and kicking, and they're normally REALLY quick to update when a celebrity kicks the bucket.
However, I'm not sure if Peter was referring to the rumour or if it was merely a slight linguistic error in his OP?!?!?

I must admit to being concerned. Being a child of the '80s Black Adder, Not the nine O'clock News, Bean and others are a touch stone for me.

Same here. I'd even add Johnny English to the list...
