I could've launched into a long diatribe, but I'll summarize it much more succinctly:
The incompetence of the individual(s) in charge is harmful to everybody else.
There. Is there really much else to add?

There's a word for that
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
Everything makes sense in someone's mind.
Ya can't fix stupid.

Always use married SLNs they are more stable and reliable.

That sounds more like a Jackson Pollock painting than a picture...

That doesn't sound like they have much 'control' over their source code

I'm off to Iceland for a week and am not taking my laptop. This is my first trip in about 15 years where I'm not taking my tools of trade with me. This scares me. More than I care to admit.
Be sensible, be creative and be good to each other. I'll see you all soon.
cheers

The sad thing is, just about anywhere nowadays you should be able to find someone with Internet access!
But enjoy!

No, not this trip. It’s crazy windy and the terrain is either flat and demoralizing along volcanic ash wastelands or semi vertical on twisty 90kmh roads with no shoulders and no guard rails.
We saw a few cyclists loaded down with camping gear struggling into the wind, and for a couple of days getting pelted by the rain and cold and decided I made the right call.
Instead I put on about 5kg

Going to Reykjavík? Any chance your trip has to do with Eve Online?

DO use the hair conditioner at the Blue Lagoon.
We took the express drive around the island - big error, just stick to the south that will fill your week. The north is great but it is a bloody big island.
Do take the boat to the glacier on lake Jökulsárlón, we were lucky enough to see the entire front of the glacier calve, terrifying when you are in a little boat 100 metres from the front.

Enjoy the well-earned vacation, Chris. And you don't happen to return from your adventure in the hinterlands, thank you for all you've done for us.
