Considering the time it took for one man-made craft to leave the heliosphere (let alone the solar system), I'd say it's highly unlikely we're ever going to leave our galaxy. So forget about the far-distant ones.
While Voyager 1 is commonly spoken of as having left the Solar System simultaneously with having left the heliosphere, the two are not the same. The Solar System is usually defined as the vastly larger region of space populated by bodies that orbit the Sun. The craft is presently less than one seventh the distance to the aphelion of Sedna, and it has not yet entered the Oort cloud, the source region of long-period comets, regarded by astronomers as the outermost zone of the Solar System.

Well, at the very least, we'd need to be able to build vehicles that can exceed the speed of light to make it viable, come up with working hibernation or build generational ships and that's just to explore our own galaxy. Only when we can exceed the speed of light will interstellar travel become worthwhile.

So the exception was returned as the name of a PHP object? Or another language that prefixes variables with '$' at least.
Unfortunately I can't think of an appropriate PHP joke this early in the morning, coffee hasn't kicked in.

Ah, forgot that WPF/XAML uses the $exception object. Well, just need to parse that object then assuming you have access to the code. If not hopefully it returns the entire object and not just the string.

It's just missing a resource. The original assembly has been split up into two parts for a better separation of layers and now it looks for some image resources at the wrong place. Nothing really complicated. It's only weird that nobody has noticed that for years.
