Spam is unpaid advertising: this site is expensive to run, and those costs are paid for by advertisers. So when we get someone trying to "push their product" for free, we tend to slap them down pretty hard - because if we didn't why would others pay for the same thing? And if advertisers stop paying, the site loses revenue, and either closes or has to start charging people to come here. Nobody wants either of those things to happen, so spam is a big no-no!
