Well, after weeks of careful negotiation with our local IT department, our machines were hijack-updated last night to Win10 by the governing authority. I'm now sitting here, UNABLE TO WORK AT ALL because none of my dev tools are installed.

You guys just need an ISSO(formerly IASO) specifically for your shop computers. Sec+, a secret clearance, and ISSM(IAM) appointment orders for IATII will generally get you an admin CAC and then you're golden; aside from an online course or two that's all it should require.
We're "lucky" enough to be grossly understaffed by DoD 8500 standards, so multi-hatting is a thing and I can install my own tools. The minus was having to get a CISSP.

The system I worked with, OSISoft's Plant Information (PI) System has been a steady thread in my career from the early 90s through the present.

MASH is easily my favourite tv-sitcom EVER. I need to stock up on popcorn and start binge-watching the entire 11 seasons (AGAIN)!
If ever there was a show that needed reviving, that's it! 
But it made me start thinking: Alan Alda is too old, so who would they cast as Hawkeye now? I have one actor in mind I think would make one hell of a Hawkeye, but I'd be interested in hearing your ideas.

Don't think I have one really - I'm not sure a reboot (or worse, a remake) would work. MASH was a product of its time, the Vietnam War was still very fresh in the mind. It worked because it was close enough in time to be "real" and the Korean War was far enough in time to have jokes made about it.
Now? The world is different, and I think it would get given a "modern update" or "modern interpretation" which would ruin it. Think about it: how much of what went on would be PC these days?
