Yup - not to mention that the morality here is just about as stupid as it gets (I can say that because I'm from Denmark where we have a much more relaxed point of view on alcohol):
Booze is only sold in special shops (Systembolaget), and their business idea is: You really shouldn't buy anything from us. But if you do, we'll make sure that you pay as much as possible to the government for the priviledge.
And they have the audacity to send out tv commecials: We're not like other companies, our goal is not to make money on your weaknesses (yeah, right - see above).
So my question is: WHY THE ELEPHANT ADVERTISE AT ALL???? Spending a lot of money on tv-commercials can surely only be for one reason. If they were really concerned about peoples health, they could have spent the money on health care donations

There's a lot of money interested in the removal of the monopoly situation.
But that won't happen as long as "the people" believes it's good for them.
Forsman & Bodenfors, the advertising agency, has even gotten a price for their campaign.

Along the same lines of major tobacco companies agreeing to pay for advertising campaigns to educate consumers about the dangers of tobacco. Not only were they barred from advertising their own products or sponsoring events geared towards teenagers, they also had to contribute millions annually to support these anti-smoking ads in every state. Not voluntarily, but still...

I'm sure I wouldn't have either! "Carapace" isn't a word I'd come across before - only saw it in some article somewhere a couple of days ago and had to look it up (and it was being used quite inappropriately - something about a character in novel "shedding her carapace" - just the author trying to sound clever...)

I have - though I don't use it in "normal conversation".
It took me probably about as long as it took Pompey - once I had "Car" teh rest was obvious.

So from time to time I'll install something on my Windows 10 laptop, and with the latest update I am now warned that this program (wait, need to go check it): "The app you're trying to install isn't a verified app from the store."
I think to myself, okay, MS trying to warn me. Then I slap myself, no, they just want me to go to the store.
So, today I need to install the Windows 10 SDK. Guess what isn't verified? Oh Microsoft you so funny.
