Also, those that have wide line spacing so you can only see 5 items without having to scroll down

Oh, those. In SSIS there's a drop down that is apparently sorted by the GUIDs of items.

Websites that are designed to only work on developers' uber 4k monitors -- for example, dropdown menus whose bottom disappears off the bottom of the monitor and then dismiss when you move the mouse to the scroll bar to scroll down. Not everyone's system has a 4k monitor. Bad developer!
Websites that STILL don't know there's a 97003 zip code. Paypal (a financial institution ) & UPS, I'm looking at you.. it's been 5 years now. Get a clue!

I just checked the zip code database I use for websites. It's using data from 2007. I can only imagine UPS and PayPal are using a similar source. How long ago was 97003 created and where is it?
Here's the two entries I have where it should fall into. It's in CSV format...
"ZIPCODE","LATITUDE","LONGITUDE","CITY","STATE","ABBR"
...
"97002","+45.224241","-122.819800","AURORA","OREGON","OR"
"97004","+45.247636","-122.468991","BEAVERCREEK","OREGON","OR"
...
Google says it's Washington County, Oregon. I'm thinking now it's a good time to update my data source.

Like I said, 5 years ago, so 2012. It was official on July 1st, but the post office was still delivering mail to the old zip code until the following January.
Where is it.. well.. unincorporated Washington County, Oregon. I could provide the info, but I don't know what the official location designation is (so I'll probably be wrong), and it'll be in the updated zip code database anyway (this isn't the only new zip code).

Gotcha, just updated my cached info, but it's only as recent as Jan 2012 now. Although, after a quick google fu, turns out thar be sources that are more recent that offer zip/postal code data. So there's hope for UPS et al...

As a bonus, seems you share a zip with Mexico and Guadeloupe.

So what's the deal.. I wouldn't expect you would need to update your zip code database manually. I figured the USPS sold zip code databases, and everybody updated from those from time to time. Is that not the case, or is this just your personal zip code database?
Oh, and I'd have said something other than "Beaverton" for the 97003 zip code.. so its probably good you went and got that from a more authoritative source
And.. you didn't mention if you got the other new zip code too? Just curious.

It's my personal DB I keep around for the odd times when I need to validate stuff. If it was for a live production site I'd update more than once a decade.

There's so many non kid sister friendly jokes that can made about that.

Probably not. My quick update was in the same format which went back to 2012. To use that 2017 data I'd need to cook up a new import. Which I will... when I'm not being lazy (as in not looking for a new job).

97078 is the other new one. I can never remember what it is, so I had to look it up:
..the U.S. Postal Service is creating two new ZIP Codes in the Beaverton/Aloha area, effective July 1, 2014. The new ZIP Codes are 97003 and 97078. This says 2014, but I'm sure its been longer than that.. I must be having a señor moment.

I'm not sure if this is a worse tease, but Amazon sends me spam every 2 days, almost without fail, and those messages contain items they simply won't ship to Canada - no reason given.
If you won't ship it, stop trying to sell it to me!! Of all companies, you'd think Amazon would've figured this out by now...

Red Rose Tea, as sold in Canada, is an orange pekoe; in the U.S., it's a black tea.
Look up the commercials on Youtube.
But, I agree with you on the 'State/Province' issue.. quick annoying.
