OK, here's my situation. I have a dir that has a bunch of subdirs & files at various levels of nesting on a pair of drives. My goal is to have both be the union of the original set of stuff so that they have exact same contents.
Using the Properties dialog for the 2 drives, both as directly selecting the top node dir folder icon, and as going into the dir and searching for *.*, then selecting the all the files I get for the # of files & dirs:
C: via *.* -> 3826 in 616
H: via *.* -> 3826 in 616
C: via top folder -> 3824 in 616
H: via top folder -> 3819 in 613
If I open the top dir and select all the items (which are all dirs), the value is the same as if I had selected the top folder.
Going into the CMD window and doing dir *.* /w /s (or whatever) gives the same size as per the *.* selection, although for whatever reason, it shows 3X the # of dirs. 
So the good news it that everything seems to be copied (the total size is also the same) properly. However, I like to use the Properties dialog to do a quick check of the # of files, dir & size to make sure that a copy has been done properly. Here, the copy has been done properly, but it still does not show when accessing the Properties via the folder icon, and thus doing this check will involve a big PITA to get something that should be simple. 
I have no idea how to fix this!

I seldom ask for this sort of stuff on CP, but today I find myself wishing to proposition the good will of all that is CP and its CPians.
Turns out I got a phone call from a talent acquisition manager at NBC Universal moments ago and they're looking for a role that's perfect for me, which is to work directly with the business sponsors to help build up a new project in the TV Development department. This is something I did at Live Nation, so this would be an awesome job for me because A: I can continue the growth in my career I started at Live Nation B: it's freaking NBC and C: it's literally like one mile away from where I live so I'd have no lengthy commute.
What I would require is for all those who believe, is to keep the positive juju alive and put it out there in the great ether that is the universe that I should get this job. Believe it with me.
And if so, I promise to never, ever, ever again say anything good about JavaScript again to Marc (well for at least a day or two). I also promise to say nothing but delightful accolades in regards to VB.NET to Chris (for at least a day or two). And of course for Gary, I'll go so far as to say bicycles are better than motorcycles (for an hour or two). And well, I don't really know OriginalGriff, but as a bonus I'll go upvote his articles or something.
Positive vibes... positive juju... let's put it out there folks.

 I'm actually liking Javascript a bit more nowadays since I've decided to ditch all the bad practices I see everywhere and replace them with one practice to rule them all: write SMALL functions! The other "rings", like DRY, etc., fall nicely into place then.

Exactly. Keep your functions pure. JavaScript is hell at first, but at its heart is more functional than object oriented. So, it's way different. If you get a chance to start playing with ES6 at least, it'll feel a bit more like C# at least.
You know you've been sucked into the JavaScript b0rg when you start actually liking K&R style in C# when writing out an anonymous function. By that point its too late. All resistance is futile. You are now one of us.

Btw, just wait until you get into CSS 3/4 features, such as transitions and animation. I put this together as an Easter Egg in a project for Fox a couple days ago...

The app was a movie rating system to track ratings, etc. You could view the trailer for the movies in it too. But as an Easter Egg, when you watched the trailer for the movie Logan, it showed that instead of the actual trailer, in a movie-like overlay window.
View the source, barely any JavaScript was used... only enough to disable right click since it's supposed to show like a movie in the app and to preload the multimedia files.
