This is twice now that you were hoping to get useful information from the Lounge. I make that mistake sometimes too.
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Yup, I hear ya, but hey, once you've been on the internet for more than 5 minutes you learn to ignore the stupidity.

Ya they do. I like them and I have a 3 month trial through MSDN.
Again, vids are nice but you can't directly ask questions.
Thanks

I found these online courses to be pretty useful.
Part 1[^]
Part 2[^]
With the knowledge learnt in those courses, I could write these articles - one[^] and two[^].
Professor Michel Buffa teaches very well.

I have had some good mileage from Codecademy[^]
and Free Code Camp[^]
I used both sites to brush up on new concepts such as CSS, LESS and the like - they focus on building an application which helps with relevance and context - the plain Javascript stuff was helpful.
Have a ball and welcome to the dark side where everything changes by the second and opinions are everywhere!

FreeCodeCamp is really nice. It is project based so at the end of it you end up with a basic portfolio. They also have a group chat on Gitter so you can ask questions to others learning through FreeCodeCamp. I have had great success with it and would highly recommend it.

Einstein developed a theory about space, and it was about time too.

This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

"No, from Canada."

So James Bond is dead...
I know everybody likes discussing who the better Bond was, and people have even starting to include George Lazenby after so many years (although I don't understand why). I'm not saying Sir Roger was the best, but I always liked his movies. My favourite Bond movie of all is actually "The Spy Who Loved Me"...
AND he had the good sense to marry a Dane!
RIP Bond
