All I am trying to open a new Angular 2.0 Project, I don't why did they make it so complex.
I selected File menu -> new Project -> C# -> then Asp.Net Core Angular 2 Starter Application (.Net Core), then I am getting the following error
The imported project C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v14.0\DotNet\Microsoft.DotNet.Props was not found. Confirm that the path in the <import> declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. C:\Users\aaleem01\Desktop\Angular2Apps\MyAngular2App\MyAngular2App\MyAngular2App.xproj
Can anybody please help me in fixing this issue, it is not even opening the solution saying error in creating the project. Any help is going to be very helpful.

I downloaded it and restarted VS and restarted machine as well, but errors are persistent.
I am getting this following error:

I just don't what are those errors what's the reason for their occurrence, I would love to correct if I know why do they come.
Specially this error: Generic type 'Promise<t, r="">' requires 2 type argument(s) is appearing 675 times.
Getting tired, if my environment is not properly set Angular 2.0 team should give us strict dos and don'ts to avoid problems.
Any help would be very helpful. First of all there are so many things to download along with Angular 2.0 which leading to version mismatch easily, if they can give us all their related softwares along with their downloads would help or at least if they can give us strict notes what to have or what not to, it would be great helpful.

Hi,
End point (HttpPost) calls a different web request by URL from the call.
It uses HttpWebRequest.GetRequestStream(...). Sometimes URL of HttpWebRequest is not available and it terminates by HttpWebRequest time out (100 sec by default) and HTTP queue can be filled up.
How can I fix it?

Assuming you're using a relatively recent version of WebAPI, make the handler async and use the HttpClient class[^] instead of HttpWebRequest.
By using async and await, you won't be blocking the request thread waiting for a response from the remote server. It will be free to return to the pool and service more requests.

I tried to use PostAsJsonAsync of httpClient. The same story. On localhost: ASP:NET-Request Current=3, CurrentQueueSize=4 (MAX = 10). I don't know how can I handle a bad URL ...
And ... PostAsJsonAsync doesn't exit at all.

To get the PostAsJsonAsync method, you'll need to add a reference to the System.Net.Http.Formatting NuGet package[^].
And if you haven't got the method, I don't see how you could have tested it yet.

I can call the method ( response = await httpClient.PostAsJsonAsync(ud.Url, byteData) ) but it doesn't return any data, just hangs.
I'm using my API like a proxy.

Well, if the URL isn't valid, it's still going to take just as long to time out.
The difference is, you're not blocking a thread from the request queue while you're waiting. Using an async endpoint, you should be able to keep serving other requests without the queue filling up.

You are right. But I can see that I can't call more than 10 requests (for limited queue = 10). I don't know why but IIS can start just 3 requests at one time (with the func). (Please note that URL is not valid. I don't know how I can handle it)

Are you running this on your local workstation?
If I recall correctly, IIS Express and the full IIS version that ships with "client" versions of Windows are deliberately limited to a maximum of 10 concurrent requests. When you deploy to a proper server version of Windows, that limit should go away.

I have a webgrid that I need to export the data to excel, that part I done in code:

Layout = null;
Response.AddHeader("Content-disposition", "attachment; filename=report.xls");
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream";
}
Question is how do I format the columns so that:
1. I click on a row and only that row is exported to an ms excel spreadsheet,
2. The first four columns are read-only, next three is where user input data,
3. And the gridline are displayed.
How do I do or is there website example or tutorial?

You're not "exporting to Excel". You're sending HTML content, but telling the browser to open it in Excel.
Excel will do its best to import the HTML, but you'll have virtually no control over the formatting and layout.
If you want precise formatting control, you need to export a real Excel file. There are several libraries which will let you do this - for example:
NB: Don't be tempted to try Office Interop. Apart from the fact that you'd need to install and license Office on the server, it's not supported:
Microsoft does not currently recommend, and does not support, Automation of Microsoft Office applications from any unattended, non-interactive client application or component (including ASP, ASP.NET, DCOM, and NT Services), because Office may exhibit unstable behavior and/or deadlock when Office is run in this environment.

I have to start with a new project which is asp.net web application. I have great experience working on this kind of apps, but for PC users only on company level and company network.
Now I have to make the web application to be accessed from everywhere, especially from Mobile Browsers on Android and iOS like Chrome and Safari.
In my experience I know that an aspx can't be opened through browsers on mobile devices.
So I need help on how to overcome this obstacle. Should I include something in the project or push it to open in HTML somehow.
It's a very complex project with a lot of data accessed directly from Amazon AWS ans SQL Server Database so this makes it difficult to keep the functionality trough ordinary HTML.
Please help me with this. What should I do and what should I get?
P.S. I am not asking about paying solutions or if it has to be...maybe a cheaper one

I haven't worked with AngualJS 2.0 at all but the error message seems to indicate that it cannot find your include file, Manager.ttinclude. If it is on your desktop then it may not have permission to get to it since the website is probably not running with an account that would have access to your desktop.
I suggest moving code into a folder, perhaps c:\code and setting proper permissions on it.

I don't know the reason but when I closed the VS and opened it back this error has gone, but other errors still showing up though. I wish all script-configuration related errors could go like this .
Any idea for these errors buddy? these are the only errors remaining right now
The OutputLogFile parameter is not supported by the VsTsc task. Verify the parameter exists on the task, and it is a settable public instance property
The VsTsc task could not be initialized with its input parameters
But when I am running the application its giving me the following error:

I wrote my own identity attribute for MVC, but it has 1 flaw in it.
So when I create links to the users account, if they haven't logged in, the attribute catches it and redirects them to login.
In the attribute, I change the filter context to RedirectToRouteResult and send them to Login.
But after they login, they return to the original page and not the page I sent them to in the first place.
I guess I'm looking for a way to capture the original destination and pass it to the Login Page, so the controller can move them on their way to the proper destination.
I've seen Amazon do it in a query string. Any thoughts?
So this is a OnActionExecuting call

I googled around and didn't find anything on the subject.
Then while I was thinking about creating the route, I thought that there must already be a route that can be captured every time the attribute fires. The destination I was sending them to in the first place.
Thus ...

Then while experimenting with creating the new route, I just added another key value pair.
So on OnActionExecuting()

My SignIn program already had the mechanics to handle the rUrl query string so that was not a problem.

I think this is going to bite me back if I send the user to simply login and return to the same page.
I need to figure out how to read a query string, perhaps that would be in the route values as well.

The ability to write these attributes in MVC is amazing. Saves so much work in the long run.
