I was like that up until about two years ago.
Decided to take a LinkedIn account, shortly after a FB account and even a Twitter account.
Twitter is totally useless. LinkedIn has brought me some interesting offers. Facebook let me re-connect with some old friends and there are some interesting reads on my timeline now and then.
Overall I don't regret it. It's not the medium that's evil, but how people use it. Even though I'm on FB I'm still not interested in 100 pictures of your baby (my #1 annoyance)
