We'll not agree (that's OK) but
- I see your question very differently than you intended it. Calculation the statistics (beyond one random choice of four) is a red-herring to distract the newbie at math analysis.
- You, on the other hand, have a different view, altogether, on what is being asked: what is the chance of randomly selecting an answer that is correct if it is one of the shown answers and actual value (whatever it is) is relevant.
So long as we (I hope) see how we each view the question, we can let it rest.

Since you've 4 options, and only one is correct (b), we've a one in four chances of getting it right.

If b) is correct, than there is no chance at all to pick the right answer, however you state that there is a 25% chance, so b) is not the correct answer... But to be fair - no one asked you to tell which answer is correct...

There is no question; there are only four naked answers cowering behind Arabic numerals and per-cent glyphs.
Two of the answers are wearing the same nakedness, and hate each other, but they hate 0% even more because of (what they call) its pornographic nihilism, however, their ultimate scorn is reserved for 50% which they regard as a traitorous compromise.
Watch for 100% to make its move soon.

It's well known that fruit and vegetables can produce all four states of matter:
Normal foods produce solids.
Figs, prunes, and dates produce liquids.
Beans and sprouts produce gasses.
And good strong chillies can produce plasma!

Howard Shore - Concerning Hobbits[^]
Inspired by last weeks Tolkien inspired SOTW I decided to finally pick up the books again.
I read The Hobbit and The Fellowship some years ago, but never got around to finishing The Two Towers...
And the Tolkien movie soundtracks go great with the books.
Concerning Hobbits has been one of my favorites for many years

Once you've fully digested the Hobbit+Trilogy, you ought read "The Silmarillian", also by Tolkien (a difficult read). Then REREAD Hobbit+Trilogy. A whole new experience with a whole new point of view and insights.
Many of us still bewail the kin-killing.

I do want to read the Silmarillion, but I don't think I'll ever re-read any book.
I'm not a big reader at all... In fact, if I'm counting LOTR there are only three book series that I read because I wanted to the other two being Harry Potter and The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy 
Of course I've read much more, mostly for school or self-study.
If this reading thing catches on, and so far I like it, I might pick up some H.P. Lovecraft next.
I must know where the Great Lord Cthulhu cometh from!

The Rohan soundtrack, always by Alan Shore, is even better IMHO - plus I always loved King Thèoden and in the movies Bernard Hill, a great actor per se, did a freaking great job. He's also a very nice and funny man, I had the chance to talk to him once.
I will link when I get to a civilized place without Internet barriers (aka my home).

I've always been amazed that the guy who delivered the entirely LotR trilogy soundtrack is also the same guy who totally fell flat with the Hobbit.
I mean...I splurged for the 3-disc special-edition soundtrack for LotR...yet I wouldn't spend a dime on the Hobbit one.
What happened?

Really? I must confess I didn't listen to The Hobbit soundtrack all that much, but I don't remember it being so horrible.
I did like the Misty Mountains[^] melody and I'm pretty sure that theme comes back a few times on other tracks.

It's not that it was "bad", it just had nothing going for it, in comparison. I never buy movie soundtracks. Had to make an exception for LotR. The Hobbit just felt like Random Soundtrack #632.
