I do so love examples like this. Particularly in light of when I wrote my MyXaml articles, and a significant number of people vehemently commented "I would NEVER and code a UI in XML!!!"
But, the Microsoft pill seems to be one that most everyone enjoys swallowing.

I don't have any problem with WPF. And I don't mind the XAML either. It's just that a lot of devs go through great pains to format their C# code and yet create one giant massive mess of XAML that's totally unreadable.

Looks like someone's used the designer. Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D should sort it out.

The real question is why the XAML doesn't already look that way, if only the designer has been used? The slop the designer generates is... Well, slop.
Also, I don't fully agree with the formatting Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D generates. I wish they'd provide configuration options for that feature, perhaps even allowing it to be set at the project level to enforce consistent formatting...
Pipedreams, I know.

Add an EditorConfig[^] file to the solution and install a plugin for whatever editor you use, and you can have a lot of control over default formatting.
I don't think it will help with the issue in the OP, though.

Thanks for the heads-up.
I think my complaints mainly stemmed from VS formatting Javascript with the opening brace on the next line (like C, C#, Java) instead of on the same line (like most suggest for Javascript.)
I don't know why it annoys me, since it really doesn't matter, but having a way to change that would be nice. It seems the EditorConfig format would support this (mixing next line and same line for different languages) but that the plugins would have to as well. Could be worth playing with.
In a perfect world, the formatting wouldn't even be a part of the code. Everyone's editor could just be configured to display it the way they like seeing it. Alas, more pipedreams.

I believe that the VS plugin does support that, actually. I still need to get around to installing it. I usually code Lua 5.3 for the OpenComputers Minecraft mod nowadays (good for automation).

This is not new, however, while others have created a solution, few followed through on continual improvements. I also don't know of a good C# tool like this.
I believe there were barriers to using this in the past, but many of those barriers are going away. Also, with kids learning to code with Blockly, future generations might be into accepting this.
I believe this is the generation for this market to accept this.
