Wow. I was looking for something better than what I have, but I guess I'm already doing ok.

I have 3 APC Back-UPS XS-1300:
  • One running my VM host in another room...while there's a monitor hooked up to it, it's hardly ever turned on. I've had it run over half an hour on battery only.
  • One running the monitors and network gear in my home office (separate modem, router and switch); it can easily keep going for 45 minutes.
  • One running the computer in my office (an Intel NUC that simply connects to the VMs hosted by my main machine). It can also go for 45 minutes.
I was given one of the UPSes, so ordinarily I'd run everything in my office off of a single one, but since I have it...splitting it this way means I can keep going longer.
