How is this:

printf(" DEVICE_MAX_CLOCK_FREQUENCY = %u\n", (unsigned int)buf_uint);

printing this:

DEVICE_MAX_CLOCK_FREQUENCY = 875 MHZ

Perhaps the code you are using and the code you pasted are not the same?
