your ERP vendor alter the REST API contract and does not inform you about changes well into the platform upgrade program and you only notice it by chance 4 days ahead of things suppose to go to production....
Long version : We are upgrading our ERP platform to their newer version with Grid architecture and all. They have three ways to call their APIs via COM dll, SOAP and REST. While COM dll and SOAP did not change the REST no longer send Exception but send as 200 OK response with details of error in Response in this new version. They did not inform about this change and just by chance I found out and I have seven different applications using REST to call various APIs and I have four days before this thing go to Production.... Now I will have few long nights or they better give explanation on why REST is changed and not SOAP and why there is no official communication...
If I know our ERP vendor well I know their response will be "we will talk to our developers but in the mean time you implement work around" and that will be the end of it....

You have my sympathy - having worked with an ERP vendor for the past year I have some idea of what they can get up to.
I think the SOLID[^] principles are a good way to look at where they have gone wrong.
To me it seems strange that they did not simply implement a new interface that returned either an exception or an OK response(The I in solid - the principle of many client interfaces).
They have also obviously broken the O in the SOLID principle (open for extension but closed for modification).
It may be worth feeding this back to them as what they have done sounds like very poor software engineering.

Alcor - I remember reading years ago that's where Walt Disney spends his time these days. I also read far more recently that to be a hoax. 
Last time I read anything about Alcor, it was 50k just to do your head. That'd have to be 15 years ago now, I reckon.
