Marking the trust levels for each company, I went for 0 for all social media, 1-2 for Microsoft, Apple and Google. And upwards from that for the remaining ones. I find it interesting that Microsoft is in first position at the moment. Given all the windows 10 privacy concerns that people share(be they justified or not).

Obviously most of them here hate Social Media ! But trusting Microsoft is not very surprising, in my opinion.

I understand the tendency to not share too much with social media.
But trusting Microsoft is maybe a bit surprising to me. Given their more aggressive attitude with windows 10.

Trust Amazon for deliver my goods and google to help me solve my it development problem

I especially don't trust Amazon, Apple or Microsoft in the form of Skype. They all managed to extract money from an expired credit card without my permission. Oh, and I don't trust my bank any more.
I may not last forever but the mess I leave behind certainly will.

but Apple says "No" and let go to court - but Bill Gates says it is OK. Does anybody REALLY remember it?
Looks like nobody is interesting in that, and violating the privacy has no consequences. I am sorry for you folks...

No one's forgotten - in fact, it's been debated heavily.
As for Apple's concern for your privacy. If you believe that, I've a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

I will not now or ever trust an outside company with my critical data. The Cloud paradigm is going to prove to be a failure, but not before millions, possibly billions of users are badly hurt by their data being compromised.

The Cloud is a lie, it's just someone else's computer

I loved what you have said.
I do not fear of failure. I fear of giving up out of frustration.

Perhaps not relevant but why isn't CodeProject on the list?
|
|
|
|
|
Because CodeProject isn't a store of 'private' data.
What gets published here is intended for a public audience.
We hope that what we put on these cloud services doesn't become public.

Some of us have something called MyUploads, so I can have some private data here

Lucky you - but only if you trust it.
