That remark was a cut above the rest and that cannoli mean one thing. (you'll notice the preceding was rottini instead of full size?)

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing! And good work, BTW.
Decrease the belief in God, and you increase the numbers of those who wish to play at being God by being “society’s supervisors,” who deny the existence of divine standards, but are very serious about imposing their own standards on society.-Neal A. Maxwell

Merging galaxies. That's got to be some sh*t storm. Imagine that, the energy, the forces involved. We are so insignificant.

Er .. right ... it's ... how do you say ... very ... um ... French* (with a hint of Middle Eastern influence, do I detect?)

Hey, I provided some of the subtitles.
And the corresponding line in the next section is 'vulva vulva vulva vulva'
Or at least that's what it sounds like.
Often it's more fun not actually knowing the words. (Hence Pearl Jam's popularity.)

(And then you have STP's "Plush", where the actual lyrics sound like a misheard Pearl Jam song.)

I really like Indila's voice; can't help but feel it resonates with Piaf, Buffy Ste. Marie, Celine Dion, and Kimbra. The opening of Dernière Danse does remind me of the very interesting syncopation used in Gotye and Kimbra's "Somebody That I Used To Know."
For my tastes/ears the songs are over-produced, visually, and sonically. I'd love to hear an album of Indila singing over simple acoustic accompaniment.
Thanks for the link !
p.s. The guy who did the cover of "Bridge Over ..." I think he's going to get a hernia in his larynx murdering songs like that.

This is one of the least throat-destructive songs I've heard from Disturbed. (Or Device, for that matter.)

Think yourself lucky you don't get the Eurovision Song Contest in Thailand. This is restrained for Euro pop!!!

I'm a big fan of S&G, but this cover does a better job of conveying the concept than the original. Thanks for sharing it...

Next week, Mrs Wife and I will have been together 15 years; then married for 15 years come May. I have been trying to find her a gift that is trivial and yet worthy of the occasion.
The romantic dinner for two [plus two 'waitresses'] has been arranged and I shall be cooking her a five course feast of sumptuousness not seen since last year. But the gift was still unfound.
I have a wonderful card that expresses my continued love and, most importantly, that I am still ever so slightly daft. Yet nothing I have found was right for the occasion.
Until now. There is a certain confectionary[^] which she cannot resist. Sadly, we have not been able to find them in any stores for quite some time.
Until today, Tescos had them at £2.50 a box. One box of boxes later and my dear wife will be a as happy as the proverbial dog.
I just need to keep quiet until Tuesday.
