Ah. Another homophone that isn't and a definition which leads in a completely contrary direction. I really must stop reading the clues and start reading minds.

... comes great responsibility.
I got a letter in the post [we still have a service here] inviting me to register to vote. Nothing strange there, except this is from the Hungarians and I will be a bona-fide voter in future elections.
The only possible naughty I could perform is that this means I am eligible to vote for MEP's in both the UK and Hungary. My vote is worth TWICE the rest of yours*!
* This applies to Europeans of course and not forners like the mercans. I will of course obey the rules and only vote in one country come the next European Elections.

Unless you are being paid a very large sum for your vote, I doubt that it would be worth your while to vote in the U.K., take a plane to Hungary, vote there, and take another plane back to the U.K. Just thinking about it is exhausting!

I didn't consider those.
In my defence, Israel doesn't have them; either you go to your assigned polling place on Election Day, or you lose your vote.

In the UK, we have them so that the elderly and infirm can still vote.
It also gets used by people who are on holiday at the time, want to vote for their wife because they don't trust her to "vote right", and such abuses.

These are the reasons for non-implementation in Israel. OTOH, we do have wheelchair-accessible polling stations for those who are invalids.
Having a national ID card (including photo) does help to keep down election frauds at the polling station. That's not to say that election fraud is unknown; only that it requires more planning.

I am eligible for Paddyship; I've just not ever bothered.
As for voting, for any Hungarian election your vote can be cast at the nearest Embassy and London isn't that far!

I'm sure that both countries would be delighted if you vote in either or both. After all, nobody else does (turnout at the last election, UK 36%, Hungary 29%)!
