Probably the same. Oddly enough, I enjoyed that a lot. Time to visit the shrink, I guess.

I bet that 1 will get a really low score.

I almost always buy Dell. For development, nothing touches a Precision in modularity, maintenance, you name it. It's just designed with the concept that someone is going to use this day in and day out, so hey! let's make swapping a keyboard easy.
The other day my wife's Samsung laptop had a liquid accident. 4 keys stopped working. I put on my IT hat, ordered the replacement keyboard and innocently started disassembling her unit.
I have to do get a Dremel and remove plastic rivets? Seriously? I have to grind the laptop into pieces to remove the cover holding the keyboard in place.
I should change the title - designer needs his legs broken. I was thinking about a new Kia... I don't think so.
Seriously Samsung - what were you thinking?

I did one of those a while ago, one with the keyboard sandwiched between two layers of plastic, which are stuck together through the holes.
And you have to take the entire motherboard out to get to it.
They don't go back together very well afterwards, can't get the plastic layers to stick/clip back together.
Very bad design for the one part that generally needs replacing a lot.

It's very good design if you sell spare parts and replacement laptops...which Samsung do...

Not that great, the experience has made sure I never buy a Samsung laptop in future.

It's not that model - I bought a Samsung NP300E5A - Core i7, etc, slapped a SSD into it. Fast little bugger. But getting to the keyboard? Oh my.

I was sure something like this'd exist. And laptops can be so horrible to take apart; that they're one of the few places I'll set my humbug aside and prefer video to text/static images in a how to.

Are you trying to figure out how to do the teardown yourself, following some idiot's youtube guide, or is that what the service manual says to do?
Unless it's #3, I'm 99% sure Sammy has successfully obfuscated the correct way to do it.

Well, I've been into the laptop before to upgrade the hard drive. I was a bit mystified as to how to get the bottom cover off (hide the screws under the adhesive rubber feet, yeah, that's a good idea). In first working on this laptop, I was chatting with Samsung support. Trying to find the correct manual is a flipping nightmare.
Support actually told me, "I'm sorry, you cannot upgrade the hard drive in this laptop."
me: "You have got to be shitting me? Are you serious?"
There was a long pause in the chat Finally I was sent a link to the manual... wrong manual. It took me 3 hours to get the correct one.

Nothing for your model (or anything with the same chassis) on Youtube? I'm a bit surprised by that since I've never had trouble finding multiple videos for anything I wanted to take appart.
