Love the 30 years over the age of 38 and the IBM 360. My FORTRAN was punched into a UNIVAC 90. For me "Software Development" requires that I run away from home (reality) each morning and join the circus. I am totally stoked and fortunate to write code that rubs alongside industrial robots, (gypsy mutant industrial vacuum...) chambers, gas analyzers, causing cryo-pumps to weep... oh yeah, joy joy.

Used to be a lot, but it has become a bit of a routine...
Luckily I've still got some assignments that I really enjoy!
Once I stop enjoying programming it's time to look for another job.
Life's too short to do something you don't enjoy

I feel you, bro! Still sometimes I have to "square the round" and that's when I enjoy!

I feel lucky to have a work I like. Sometimes(mostly because of clients..) it is not well recognised, but I could imagine myself doing more or less the same after 10 years.

I hope most of the members like to involve with software development For me, it's more like design level, not in coding level. I hate to sit and write code.

At least for me.
I think, apart from enjoying writing source code, it is a hobby for me, interest for me. Enjoyment is while getting a positive response from end user. Which in my case is still me.

you become habitual of something only if you are enjoying it. if you are not enjoying it than it won't become your hobby.

I guess, there will be very few people on CodeProject who would not enjoy Software Development.
