I'm a non-traveler as well. Last time I was on a plane was in...1998, I think. I let my passport expire years ago, and I intend to keep it that way.

So I wanna ask the travelers: When the TSA "confiscates" something of value, do they snail-mail it back to you at your home address? Or is there a procedure to request that they do? Or are you SOL altogether?

I estimate the value of my crimes against America to be somewhere between $10 and $15.

I'll take the high side and make it $14.50

With minimum wage at $7.25, that's two hours.

I will invest up to, but no more than, two hours to find out if I can recover the items.

Okay, lesson learned, next flight, use the U.S.Mail (or perhaps UPS) and send my clothes and items in a separate box, out of the reach of TSA agents' hands, to the hotel.

That may be a bad idea: arriving at an airport with little or no luggage is a "trigger" for "internal concealment" inspections... Laugh | :laugh:

Could be outright theft, and nothing to do with regulations at all. Airport employees in the past have been caught stealing[^] and digging through passenger luggage.

First page; about how one feels about the concept. Wether one can save money is kinda hard to answer without context. Whether it'd be fun is impossible to decide without context. See a pattern? Smile | :)

Second page; wants to know what it means to "me"; do I think it is harmfull? Well, depends on the materials involved. There's some things that don't mix. So, skipped this page too.

Third page; "Most people who are important to me WOULD APPROVE of my upcycling." No, they'll tell me I shouldn't cycle.

Fourth page; aw, no go.

This didn't seem to fit Insider News, whereas it's not new tech, but this is a supercool historical story nonetheless and one I thought a lot of you might enjoy seeing the history of your digitized maps and a functioning navigation system from the mid 1980's.

Here[^] One of my favorite bass players. Yesterday, whilst driving the family around, the missus was rifling though the radio stations and happened upon "Starship Trooper" to which I said "Can we leave it here?", and she did. Now understand, this NEVER happens. Even the younguns didn't gripe, this also NEVER happens. We listened to the whole song, which upon ending, the station was immediately switched.

Exactly! The very same thing (along with Jon Andersons' voice) that caught my ear. Two completely dissimlar sounds that when combined were magical.

As a janitor in a small town library, I was eager to either...

...in order to do the floors, because the library was ultra super progressive (well, for those days) in amassing various collections of music on vinyl discs.
