"Scientists" are just as willing to take money to say the "right thing" as anyone else is. It's almost impossible to determine what's really happening regarding the climate in general because it's very likely that data is being "massaged" to say what the massager (or their financial benefactor) wants it to say. We can't even get straight up reports anymore without wondering if the data's been manipulated.

True, to a point. It only takes a couple of bribed politicians to write this law.
But, how many scientists would have to be bribed to make the opposite argument? Thousands upon thousands of them. There isn't just a couple of studies and papers that have come to this conclusion. There are thousands of them that have, and not all looking at the problem from the same point of view or using the same data set.
That's why I don't buy that argument.

All data is manipulated in one way or another, to filter out noise. This is the process that most anti-climate change people jump on without bothering to understand the process and exactly why it's done.
Yes, there are those that have gone too far when manipulating data. Those are outnumbered by the thousands of others who didn't.

You lost me on the part of depopulation, how would that work? I don't see any laws for that, and also manipulated data, most of that comes from the big player, USA, everybody lost trust in the US. Speculation about manipulated data is on the same level like speculation about true data, no one knows. Since everybody lost confidence in each other, who tells the truth? Is it you, me, anybody else?

I know that quite a lot of those in the UK list on that website are not true.
There is an oft held belief that if an old law has not been specifically repealed then it is still in effect but that is not true as any newer legislation that would contradict an old law would make the old law ineffective from then on.
