Nagy, Griff, ChrisE, Pete, Keith, take the piss now[^], the scummers will never let us live this down. I actually suspected this when the deal with Emirates was announced this morning, but wanted to believe the Council wouldn't stoop so low. The salt in the wound is I actually helped fund that with my Council Tax.
(As a side note it was originally called the Millennium tower as it was meant to open in 2000 to mark the millenium, embarrassingly the inept Council decided to change the name when it actually opened in 2005)
