I read that Secretary of State John Kerry has flown to Geneva after his leg was broken in France; does this sound fishy to you ? I would never let a leg go off to France unaccompanied.

After flying out of CDG recently it doesn't sound fishy at all. The airline personnel were likely all on break, his leg was just trying to fit in. As they say, "When in Rome...".

This short film[^] (of 6 minutes) is a great animated movie by a student director.
I believe we should start to learn to let go of Avengers. Marvel didn't do their best! This one has a great story and a great start.

One of my best friends girlfriend (of a few years) had a heart surgery last week.
Just a simple standard procedure, hadn't gone wrong in 16 years.
They can reset the counter...
Apparently some monitor showed the wrong data and they messed up.
They found out after the surgery when they gave her a shot of adrenaline and her heart beat didn't go up.
Poor girl lay there, awake, but partly anesthetized, and heard the doctors shout and cry in another room.
The doctor that was watching the monitor started to hyperventilate and got carried away on a stretcher.
That's not what you want to hear when you just had heart surgery.
Long story short, she's doing okay, but her heart beat can't go over 80 or 90 per minute anymore.
She's up for a pacemaker at her 24th.
Not the end of the world, but they had a pretty crappy end of the week nonetheless.
Makes you wonder though, how and why could it go wrong after 16 years of success?

Normal Doctor attitude of omniscience? Normally followed by the "Oh sh*t", "I did nothing wrong", and "Not my fault..." phases.

Not sure it'll get that far...
I don't think my friends have legal insurance and it's pretty expensive to hire a lawyer.
Besides, the whole situation is bad enough as it is, a lawsuit won't make her heal and it only costs a lot of time and effort.
And money if you're not on the winning side too! And I'm not sure how much money could be won in such a case, especially if the fault isn't clearly human.
The operations are covered by the mandatory health insurance that all Dutch people have.
We Dutch don't have much of a sue culture

Must be one of the most ridiculous movies of all time.
I saw it yesterday and couldn't decide whether to cringe or laugh.
It's an extreme parody of the action movies from the eighties made as a kickstarter almost without a budget.
Also expect loads of references to eighties computer games and hackers, as well as laser shooting dinosaurs and a Kung Fu fighting Hitler and especially for V: The worst one liners in history.
