Oh, I dunno - I like 'em when they're reasonably easy - and counterpane isn't an everyday word, but isn't to obscure either.
It was one of those, though, that as soon as I looked at i thought 'anagram ' then I counted the letters - right number, then it's just a matter of looking really hard!

It's not easy - it just looks like it should be, and then you either end up with one that's far, far too easy or far, far too hard
I think I prefer this version of the CCC to DD's - because you get a variety of setters and you can't "get used" to the way one person thinks.
And now it's my problem: I have to work out a clue that isn't too simple (like my "BACON" one was - I thought it was a good 'un!) or so difficult that I have to do it again on Monday...

Replaced my old HTC Desire HD, that is now about 5 years old by the new Yotaphone 2 because my old friend wasn't working properly since last year. I have to say i am deeply impressed by that russian mate. The power of the rear display is just magnificent, i can use all apps on my phones rear display and save so much battery because it's a e-paper display.
Also the phones rear display is very customizable in widgets and stuff, screenhots or pics can be placed and to "protect" your views or apps that are opened on the "always-on" display. No need to turn on the display anymore to check the time, it's always on
Have loaded it on monday to 100%, still have 46% left (Yotaphone says approx 5 days).
But!, i have no sim(had no nano sim, it's on the way) so couldn't test battery power in combination with phoning and mobile network. Just can say that i exessivly used a crosswords app and always switched it to the e-paper display, touchscreen works properly and althoug using that app so much it didn't drain to much battery.
Although i have to admit the price is quite high, costed 680€, so no cheapi but reasonable, if one thinks of a smartphone with 2 displays
Anyone else having some experience with that fellow?
Disclaimer : For those who think i wanna make ad for this thingy, NO! I'm just impressed by that idea of two displays and wanted to share my joy

"Rear screen" or "rear display".
Even "back screen" or "back display" are fine.
But "backside"[^] has a very specific meaning in English...

AFAIK both displays are scratch resistant and i assume the cam is also. But it can't say for sure. But, i just read an article that a thin layer of bulletprof glas can be put onto displays (without negative effects on touch) to enhance resistance. Maybe this also goes for the cam

As the battery of my old phone is nearing the end of its life I'd like to hear your verdict of the Yotaphone now that you've owned it for a while.

I'm still good with it. My overall usage is not very high ( i play some games, whatsapp, sometimes phoning and use internet). I checked the most battery draining things (display 37% and games 23 %) and yeah since i use the screen on the back a lot my battery lasts between 2 and 5 days. It's not that bad i'd say. Soundquality of the earpieces is good (for listening to music), I got some nice pics on the rear :P.
The touchpanel of the e-paper display is accurate, got no problems on using that and i prefer typing text on it now. Whatsapp is used rarely on my normal display. Facebook got deleted, it cut my idle battery time of 10 days down to 5! That means it would reduce the battery time by half  . The camera is okay, the 8 MP are fine for me, it's a phone no sony - holywoly 50k MP cam . What i really like is that i can use the phone completely on the e-paper display and having time displayed all the time (or whatever i want). All in all i would buy it again.
Overall i'd give it a 8 out of 10 because, yeah it is expensive.
It's a good smartphone with sufficient power (no high end stuff though) but the two displays are really kicking. Everybody who sees me using that thing is asking: "wtE is that? A black/white smartphone?" Then i just trun it round and unlock the normal screen watching them getting big eyes :P.

How's the sound quality without headphones? (I have small children sometime watching movies on my phone)

Uhm yeah, it's a pretty cool gadget, i love it and i hope you are not dissapointed
The quality without headphones is quite good for watching videos. Didn't recognize any bad quality.
The only minus point i found so far is that phoning drains the battery quite alot (i don't phone so much) but they say that 6 hours of phoning leaves it empty.
There are some cases fabricated of leather (T-Case is the one i bought). It's a full surrounding "case". I dont know if there are any that fit to the 2 screens protecting only the sides.
If you really take the money in your hand and buy it, you will definately have a phone to show off
