That's easy enough to answer for my personal case.
I'm having a pretty distinct dialect from a different part of the country than what we live in.
My wife has a foreign accent.
Our kids speak like the other kids.

Värmland, bordering to Norway.
Have been asked more than once by people from Stockholm if I'm Norwegian. Something a Norwegian certainly wouldn't understand

Not as strange as it might seem; In 1250-1350 Jämtland, Härjedalen and Värmland belonged to Norway. After the Kalmar union it was split up a little different.

I am king of general statements, so I think I have a right to say that your comment, well, is a general statement.
I think that statement can be true, if the individual doesn't make a specific effort to NOT be like their parents. Also, being like your parents isn't always a bad deal. Some parents are down right cool.

I thought it was a negative but you only get one set of parents be happy you didn't get the wrong ones.

This one will be too easy for you chaps. Anyway, here you go:
Crazy love with endless quote, why? (8)
Sorry, don't think I can possibly embed the definition in the clue. Hope this one doesn't lead to multiple solutions.
Good luck!
Your time will come, if you let it be right.

Crazy love - velo
endless quote - quo
why - y
veloquoy. I understand how it was complicated to find a definition.

You are avoiding to set one up for Monday, aren't you?
Your time will come, if you let it be right.

So the one winning sets the next one up ? Sorry, must have been living under a rock again.
Then I am glad (for you guys) that I did not find it : If I am even twice better at setting them up than finding the answer, it'd still be awful.

Yep - that's why is WSO CCC: Winner Stays On Cryptic Crossword Clue.
Whoever solves it posts the next weekday clue.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Sorry, but that's incorrect. I actually don't believe you didn't get it in your first reply. I thought you deliberately replied with incorrect solution.
Your time will come, if you let it be right.

Actually, I am really that bad at solving CCCs. Believe me.
|

Well then you will be surprised when you realize the solution and how close you were.
Your time will come, if you let it be right.

I told you so!

Crazy love VELO
with endless quote, CITe (lose the E)
why Y
VELOCITY
You need to give some clue as to the final word:
"Speed crazy love with endless quote, why?"(8)
Perhaps...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...
|
|
|
|
|
I thought that but that wasn't "fitting" in the clue properly and also Speed != Velocity, is it?
And I didn't think it would be a good idea to include "rate of change of displacement with time".
Anyway, you are up for Monday.

It doesn't have to be exact, just a "close enough fit" - without it, it isn't a "full clue". If it doesn;t work, pick a different word and start again.
