I checked the newspaper and found that it is a ultra-religious newspaper, so probably the reason is not politics but misinterpreted modesty-of-women...Not that it makes it any better...

One thing positive in all this:

As extreme as this ultra-ultra-orthodox Jewish movement is, they have not sent any children to martyr themselves as waking bombs targeting shoppers . . . neither have they cut off anyone's head for believing differently then they do.

Who decides though which is the truth and which is the lie, so in the absence of any true judge we have to allow all forms of speech, with some countries drawing the line at offensive or racist speech, like the UK. Of course, what is and isn't offensive is also debatable...

Well, I think that I'm safe in saying that using photoshop to erase people from a photograph is not something that is very closely associated with the truth.

Similarly, bearing false witness is a crime, purjury is a crime, false advertising is a crime, and you can get your @rse kicked in court for slander.

Freedom of speech is concerned with the freedom to express one's honest opinions, not the freedom to lie about anyone or anything.

It's not an "I can say anything I like!", it's an "I am free to believe what I like and express my beliefs".
