2. A few months later someone posts a new answer saying the existing answer won't work in some scenarios
3. Just today, the author of the dubious answer edited his post, adding his contact details to it.
4. Manfred R. Bihy has just removed the contact info.
I don't have a problem with answers that are posted a few months after the question, because they are often useful to googlers who may come across the question in the future.
But those contact details[^] make me smell something

It is not so good question, but I still cannot see anything so bad to report it here.
Are your accusations based on the timing (when it was posted, edited, etc.)? But what's wrong with posting a question, not attending it and refreshing later? Some just have no time to refresh it, or can get a better idea on what to ask about on the same topic. It's better than multiple re-posting.
Do I miss something?
