Maybe the magnitude is less than 2.5? On the other hand, if you just move the bar low enough, even a passing truck generates an earthquake.
Here in the Netherlands there are plenty of small earthquakes due to regular (non-fracking) natural gas extraction. Many have a magnitude between 1.5 and 2, above 2.5 is not that common but it happens. Map 1[^] map 2[^]
Of course fracking is different than just removing gas from between the sand, so the effects are probably different. And enough gas has been removed that in some places the land has sunk a foot, maybe it just takes a while before the effects are significant.

Because they are centered right on the gas field, didn't occur before the extraction began, and there's no fault anywhere near.

I have been using the free version for personal use and like it very much. Now, I am thinking about using it on the job to support remote (over the internet) users. It looks like the paid version (premium) has the features I am looking for, but I wanted to get some expert opinions first.
Must haves:
0: Multiple operators. (only two for now)
1: Remote users initiate chat/remote sessions through a customizable web portal.
2: Chat and remote sessions are logged with decent reports/exports.
If the reviews are good, then it's a no-brainer to switch. The one time cost == our current remote solution's annual subscription fee. (for a single license)
Any input from someone using the paid version is greatly appreciated.

Team Viewer is a piece of crap. Start an FTP transfer, and a popup comes up right in the middle of the screen. Any time the connection ends (at least with the free version) another damn popup right in the middle of the screen. Connections are slow. Drag and drop rarely works. When it does work, the connection is frequently and unexpectedly terminated in the middle of a large file transfer.
Granted, I haven't used the paid version, but I found TV to be intrusive and "in my face" which is exactly the opposite of the experience I expect to have when using remote desktop software. I much prefer GoToMyPC and am quite happy paying for something that actually works and gets itself out of the way and stays out of the way while I'm connected.
Oh, and if the remote computer has a new version of TV (because some moron upgraded it), then guess what? I have to upgrade TV first as well before I can connect. Incredibly frustrating when there's a critical issue that needs to get resolved.

I can confirm the most points listed by Marc. Not just for the free version, it is the same for the paid version.
The greatest impudence is that new versions are made with a "high frequency" and one is forced to buy the upgrade!

Thanks Bruno, after checking more thoroughly, I have found the 'forced' upgrade to be the biggest problem for me. I haven't been able to find the pricing structure for upgrades, so I can't tell at this point if the move (to another remote desktop solution) would be worth it.

I can also confirm that there's no difference between the free and the paid version, except the forced drop of the session when you're using too longer.
Although we must stick to TV because all of our customers use it (and we sometimes have to join their sessions), I'd like to know something more about GoToMyPC: never heard before.
Is anyone experiencing/pointing some concrete comparison between the products?
Please, avoid subjective opinions or something like that...

We use the paid version of TeamViewer for customer support and to do online demos. We picked it because it allows you to 'take control' on a users PC, and allows you to what what they are doing (and vice versa). I don't use it directly but our CSA likes it

I mainly live in the realm of desktop development and embedded systems, and I don't do web. I just don't.
So please excuse my ignorance. Under what conditions would I want to spend $5/month at Digital Ocean for a virtual machine? I guess I could have a "server" up and running in 55 seconds for testing? Getting a machine setup with a database?

There are lots of posts here asking for a general opinion on some technology, or dev tool; some individuals here ask frequent questions about using various devices that have nothing to do with programming, such as connecting set-top box "X" to streaming service "Y," how to fix grandma's massage wand, etc.
If some posts that ask such questions are tolerated, why not this one which is at least relevant to software development ?
