I recently ordered a few CDs to replace the LPs I'm probably never going to listen to again. They arrived Friday:
Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Works Volumes I and II, Trilogy, Welcome Back My Friends, Pictures at an Exhibition, Emerson, Lake and Palmer (original release of 1970 and an alternate mix made in 2002 but never released), and a curious collection of 5 CDs in a book called From the Beginning.
The forecast around here is Noisy today, Noisier tomorrow.

If I never hear INXS again I'll be a happy man. Chisel? Once a decade, and only on fireworks night or New Years Eve, and then again only if I'm in possession of a VB, Fosters, or even a Kaiser Stuhl if we're getting fancy.

I'm still nursing a grudge against GoDaddy[^]; and now that the registration I bought from them is nearly expired need to know how to transfer it to someone else with minimal breakage.

Do you mean web host or hosting provider? If so, it's usually just a matter of moving your files and then changing the ns1 and ns2 settings with your registrar. I've read that it takes up to 48 hours but for me it usually takes almost instantly. Hope this helps!...not too much going on in the lounge today.

Changing domain registration is still pretty manual. For changing hosting providers, I've been setting up cloudflare first. That way the actual switchover is immediate.

Generally, the registrar you use locks the domain info so that others can't simply walk away with your domain information. You'll need a release code from GoDaddy to unlock your domain, and getting that is probably going to take a phone call and tedious attempts to regain your trust and keep your business. But they will eventually give you the code. Code in hand, go to the site of the new registrar you prefer, and follow their instructions for transferring a domain to their care. That process will request the code you got from GoDaddy and will use that code to unlock the information associated with your domain. It's not complicated, but it is extraordinarily and unnecessarily tedious.

I can guarantee that they will be, but if you're persistent, you'll get through it. Best of luck to you, and if it doesn't work, I have no idea who you are. I might need the services they offer one day, and I'm not about to risk all on a relative stranger.

Yesterday, when I went to sleep, I switched on the lazers to make sure I can find my badge next day. But today when I came back, I found that it was missing. I believe a visitor stole it.

My Google Nexus (The original one from acouple years back) is starting to look a bit weary and need to replace it.
I'm just wondering what to go for next. The new Nexus 6 is due out soon, but think it is just a tad big as an everyday phone. Hopefully if the rumours are correct, the Nexus 5 is also going to get a refresh so that could be an option.
Also, the daughter is going to get her first phone this christmas, so was also think a Nexus 5 for her. (She has already been told when she gets a phone (in a year or so  ) it will not be an iAnything.
I believe the HTC M8 also go a recent spec update, but that refresh isn't available in the UK.
There is just too many to choose from!
I like the Google Nexus approach of being stock Android with no skins ontop like the Samsung TouchWiz or whatever its called on the Sx range/Alpha etc. The Alpha could still be an option if there isn't a N5 refresh and the N6 is in fact too big.
