Instead of that, if you just delete your user account and recreate a new one (first create a new account, then delete your own Poke tongue | ;-P ) this will release all of the space used by your account.

I always do so, and it releases more than 15GB of disk space. This is a better option as it cleans up everything. Necessary documents can be saved in other disk and can be pasted back upon account creation.
